Let's all give Donna De Lori a big round of applause this was her last performance on tour with Madonna. Miles again giving a real reaction full of energy.
The Erotica version performed here is an early incarnation of the song which is called „You Thrill Me“ by fans, so it’s basically an early demo and definitely an obscure (but brilliant) choice of a song to be performed on this tour.
The horse accident was a central theme of this Tour, used to showcase Madonna's resilience. During the song "Like a Virgin," X-rays of her broken bones from a horse-riding accident she had a year prior to this tour were projected, symbolizing her triumph over injury and her ability to incorporate pain and suffering into her performance.
Live To Tell with that intro with all the dancers telling their story and Madonna coming up on the cross singing this timeless powerful song...goosebumps times 3000!
The tour has so many disco references. Donna Summer's I Feel Love in the opening, Saturday Night Fever, the outfit she wears in Erotica is a replica of one worn by the lead singer of Abba on tour, and the Erotica song is the original demo of Erotica, and it's brilliant as well as a dancing masterpiece. The disco ball was $4M swarovski crystal, only used in the opening number. The hole in the floor at the catwalk end has lights inside the edges that match the floor so it looks like they literally melt into the floor. Her best tour imo. And one of the few ones I didn't see live.
Honestly, I feel kinda bad. I saw how much slack you got when you uploaded the cut version. People saying you edited out all the good parts in order for people to join your patreon.
Although, this is incredibly nice of you, and I’ll definately watch this several times because I looove your honest reactions and blunt straight forward personality.
Don’t feel obliged to do this just because us fans demands that. It’s incredible hard to earn decent money on youtube unless you garner thousand or millions of views, but once again thank you soooo much.
Nonetheless, keep uploading like you did before so you don’t sell yourself out just to please us, I feel we are getting too hard on you.
Happy Thanksgiving! I wanted to give you all something, and that something is the full length reaction to my Confessions Tour! No cuts, no annoying sound edits, all here! Now i still had to cover the video so it wouldnt be blocked but hey at least its the full show! Hope y'all enjoy:)
I was there on opening week in LA, 2nd show. The show was amazing, beginning to end. It felt like the entire Forum arena was a Dance Floor, because all night it felt like we were under the disco ball lights and colors. She brought it all night long! My friends and the whole section were dancing most of the show. We were just like WOW when the lights came up. It remains one of my favorites and most memorable for sure. And Ive been to many of her tours. Each is different, but this one left a mark on me.
The Drowned World Tour WAS for both Ray of Light and Music albums. Where she DID open with the song Drowned World/Substitute for Love. You say you wish there was a Ray of Light tour with her opening with that song. You saw it already. 😂😅❤
@milesMoo17 you mentioned that you’d like to have seen her open a tour with drowned world substitute for love, she does just that in the Drowned World Tour 2001. It was a tour for both ray of light and music. It’s so amazing and you seem to appreciate her artistry so I think you would totally tap into that concert. I’d love to see your reaction to it especially because she does exactly what you spoke about. I think you were meant to see it! Keep up the good work! Your positivity is infectious.
If you do wonder, Live To Tell was written for the movie At Close Range, a real life story about Bruce Johnson Senior, a gang from Pennsylvania in the 60s who organized crimes and then got his son Bruce Johnson Junior involved and framed him. The son went to jail, the father then even at some point rapped the girlfriend of his son and got her killed (he might have done it himself, I'd have to read about it). So the song reflects that story.
This version of Erotica is such art. It fits perfectly into this 2006 show soundwise. I love how she updated Like A Virgin as well. Amazing tour, amazing setlist, just so pleasing musicly.
Love your reactions!! I was there in LA! Funny about jump. That video was shot during her tour stop in Japan- at the END of the tour….so jump the video- is actually from the tour! And the wig she wore in the video…she used in the shows in Japan. it totally changed the look and it was sooo cool. You should see if you can find it in YouTube!
