In this episode, we decided it was time to bring in some extra help to speed up the process and get Skylark one step closer to getting back in the water!

We finally get the bottom all faired in and ready for paint, and we get the first coat of bottom paint on! After all the work that went into getting the bottom prepped, seeing that first coat go on is a pretty big milestone.

While that work is going on, Hayden and I tackle another important part of the refit—we get the base plates installed for all of the new seacocks. There’s still a long way to go, but we’re making progress and checking more items off the list.

This refit has definitely taken longer and involved more work than we originally expected, but we’re staying after it and getting Skylark ready for the Great Loop!
