Starlancer TAC has 2 size 3 shields just like the Connie MKV. The regular Starlancer only has 1 size 3 shield but the TAC has 2.

The fact they intentionally gimped the tacs size 5 turrets to not aim forward now feels even more raw and dirty.......

Dont forget the Tac can re arm and repair its snub and i was even able to re arm and repair a dragonfly in the cargo bay but that may have been fixxed now. Also can take the snub out of the Tac hangar while landed and the mk5 cant. Hanging onto my tac and mk 4 phionyx. Will want to see the other mk Vs and i may get one of those. I like the mk V but i love my Tac.

Once I take anything out that has cannons equipped, usually I've had some success just hopping onto a turret to take down the fighters. The armor on the Centaurus is beefy enough that unless they are spamming missiles I felt safe enough. And if there is an asteroid close enough, you can put yourself against it to keep them from dipping out of your firing arc.

Equip the Starlancer TAC with Full Block Shields, and you'll be done with it. The Starlancer's stock shields are low. If you equip two Full Block Shields, you'll be slightly on par with the MK5 in defense.

Not sure if you noticed, but even if it melts your shields down, the hammerheads size 4 lasers cant do anything to your hull in either ship.

You need to use decoupled with ships like this in space. in atmosphere, you're unfortunately lacking that option, generally, but in space, use it

Nice tests, tyvm. Liked and subbed. How about some comparisons mk5 vs Corsair pretty please

You don't seem to realize that the TAC hull can tank those S4 repeaters and you don't really need to turn away every time your shield goes down....

Happy to see you changed the loadout, respect! :)
I do believe you are taking out targets faster.

I personally also turn off the vibrations when ship guns fire, it distracts me from the fight.
And i use the lead pips - not LAG - that way i have best accuracy on target.

I have to say - the new connie is performing well, slow to turn - but overall its doing great.
And it seems to have the armor of a HH or Tiburon! THAT is incredible armor, especially vs Physical damage.

If the price is right i just might upgrade to it, i just like the interior that much.
I will call it my Smolaris! :D

Be good to see a vid of these fully crewed to see how it goes

They both have 2 size 3 shields. but Connie Mark V beats the TAC in Armor and HP. 4 size 5s compared to 4 size 4s could have been offset by the TACs better maneuverability.. but it didn't look like it.
Im a TAC owner because I liked the multi-roll aspect along with the tankiness. Looks like I might be changing to the Mark V.

One thing to say about the TAC for pilot combat is that it has better P-Y-R then the Connie's and a the other large ships.

Feels like the older Connie’s can dance around the new one.

The 600i is the other competitor in this fight - more so when it's rework lands

Between the two, I maintain my preference for the TAC, both for its medical sector and its cargo area, which easily accommodates more than 200 SCUs. Aside from that, I don't believe they are aircraft designed for combat.

The TAC is significantly slower but more responsive, and if I remember correctly it has more armor and deflection than the Mk.5, and ment to have a bigger crew! I'd say witch ship to choose is gonna depend on preference, and value, as the TAC has a medbay and can repair whatever ship landed inside its hangar, while still able to carry 2/3 of the ground vehicles, including one of the tanks, for around 13M auec. The Mk.5's price has to be between the TAC's and the old Andromeda's to be viable, and definitely not around the Asgard's price.

Starlancer TAC. It's literally better in every way, aside from perhaps cargo and the lack of a dedicated docking snub, and interior architecture in some ways  TAC is very industrial

The TAC shines when its full crewed. But solo, MK V has it 🙄

I own the TAC, and I love the TAC, but I'm getting the Smolaris.
Once the NPC crew or AI blades release, then I'll get the TAC again.
