Overall it provides a vintage rendering but with some things to nitpick on sharpness, chromatic aberration, flare, veiling, etc. Check it out to see if it is something you'd like to add to your lens arsenal.

You should get the 7artisans 50mm 1.05. It's probably their best 50mm. This one has waay too vignette. Lovely photos anyway!

I suggest you had a bad copy. Got one a month ago....amazing results. Absolutely blew me away. I don't do video so can't speak for that. I have the voigtlander 1.1 and Nikon f 1.2 - so familiar with fast lenses. Shooting at 1.1 this is lovely. Huge signature, . 0.95 is unique, can't agree with this video at all. Used on Sl2 and leica M9.

You mention it has better performance at certain distances, but this is a well known fact of all lenses.
