Summer can you please show us how you do your corners to avoid holes!? There are so many different techniques, curious to see yours!

I have learned so much from you. I don’t know why, but I’ve knit socks before, but just regular socks , out of fear that I would do it wrong, same heel, same socks BORING. I got your book and I’ve been a sock knitting fanatic. Your ease of instruction in your book  and tutorials just made me feel like I could do it and So I Did. I’m still knitting through the book and can’t wait till the next book arrives. I’m so excited. Thank You for opening my eyes to possibilities. Who would have thunk at my age (67) that it was possible. Thank You, Thank You Thank You

I like to put in the heel before I finish the foot/toe so I can try it on as I go.

I love your new shorty sock set. I am curious as to why you choose a forethought heel over a short heel. I use the shadow wrap technique for my heels. I appreciate you sharing your flare for color. It is such an inspiration. Thank you for your creativity.

This is a "nope" me.  It's basically knitting blind which is why I avoid toe up socks and bottom up sweater construction when at all possible.  I got the little checks sock pattern recently thinking I wanted to learn this because I like how the heel looks.  But in reading the directions, I knew that your directions would not fit my toe box.  I found that Roxanne Richardson has a video on doing a forethought heel without waiting to finish the entire sock.  She also has a video for another way to do this which she calls the Insta thought or plain heel sock.  So that's what I just did for my first little check sock.  Now I can try on my cute little gingham sock and know exactly where to start my toe!  Yay!

Thank you, Summer, for this tutorial.  Do you have another tutorial for how to pick up the stitches in each corner on the first round?  I've tried this multiple times and keep getting a hole on each side!  Thank you for your help.

Love to do this on dpn's (even only putting the waste yarn in), you don't have to slide your stitches back, but kan just directly knit over it.

Im not so nervous about doing a forethought heel now. I wanted to try a different heel construction besides flap and gusset and shadow wrap. The shadow wrap didn't suit my heel becuz it left a bit of extra fabric my heel didn't fill in, but I'm getting bored with the flap and gusset. I'll try this next time. Thank you for making this tutorial!
