Thank you so much for sharing this instructional video. I read the instructions, but sometimes, I just need to be shown. I usually use Cat Bordhi's Sweet Tomato Heel, but it doesn't work well with a contrasting heel color. This method is PERFECT for that. I appreciate you taking time to create this for us.
I am obsessed with your socks! I've bought both your books recently and I am so grateful that you have posted this video because I've never turned a short row heel. Thank you for your creativity and your videos.
I am finally JUST getting around to knitting my first Stone Knit colorwork socks (Herding Cats) and was super confused about the heel. Kept doing German Short Rows as that’s how I understand short rows to work. So glad I was able to find this video… thanks so much for making this tutorial available. It’s kept me from throwing my project out!
Charlotte, thank you for referring me to this video. I was having really hard time with the short row heel and this worked out perfectly the first time. I appreciate you doing most of this video in real time. I adore your patterns and I could listen to you. Talk all day long.
Have just done my 1st sock heel this way following your tutorial. Wow, so easy compared to how I was doing it. Will continue doing it this way thank you so much for sharing. 😊
I first learnt this method by watching a video by Bloomingknitter and it’s my preferred sock heel method. If I need to make socks for someone with high arches I use the Fleegle heel. Nice clear video - thank you.
I tried the wrap method and thought it looked awful. I used to knit heels this way so I’m going back to it. I’m happy to put a stitch in the little holes that can appear at the corners.
Wow! I also love knitting socks. I’m trying to get brave enough to try color work. I’m thrilled you made the heel look so easy. To me, the heel is the hardest part. Thank you for this great tutorial. I will save it for reference. Thank you so much. I’m so glad I found you and this video❤
