One thing I kinda wanted to add to the conversation on the topic of Unique Charge statuses is that Red Eyes Ryoshu exists, its an ID with not just one but TWO unique charges that she stacks simultaneously, that also give her buffs at specific thresholds, Red eyes making her inflict more bleed with her coins and Penitence giving her shield and Sp healing on hit with coins that gain Penitence charge. So its not like PM can't add extra effects to the new unique charge statuses, its that they intentionally choose not to, which goes back to the point I made in the comments under your previous video of how PM are seemingly afraid of overbuffing charge as to not make it gamebreakingly OP somehow.

AEDD Gregor IS the battery you're talking about. And already exists
"Combat End: At more than 12 Charge Count, consume excess Charge Count up to 8 and apply +(half of Charge Count consumed due to this effect) Charge Count on an ally (rounded up)
- This effect prioritizes the ally that has the lowest Charge Count among allies with earlier Deployment order than this unit
At 2+ Gloom or Envy Reson., apply +2 Charge Count next turn on allies with earlier Deployment order than this unit
- Applies on (Higher Reson. between Gloom and Envy - 1) allies, in Deployment order (max 3 allies)
- At 3+ Charge, apply +4 Charge Count on allies instead"
And the AEDD EGO passive that synergies directly with this ID is
"On Heads Hit, consume 2 Charge Count to apply +1 Charge Count on the Charge-possessing ally that has the lowest Charge Count" but that ID does not consume Charge on self, but instead HP to give charge.

2:57 - EXACTLY! I want a charge team for their Charge gimmicks!
"There are charge IDs and there are IDs with charge" <- this qoute describes current status of charge. Noirs would work as good even if they had their unique "charge-not-charge" — like dawn Office.
But, Noirs have their unique stutus, that could as well be the "charge-not-charge", and we can complete remove charge from their kits and make them solo status IDs. For ryoshu it would be Gabsrdine overcoat and for Don it would be Blessing of obsidian god.
Instead of doing something unique, or be the purpose, charge becomes stop-gate. You need charge potency to deal more damage (could be changed to tremor stack on target and nothing would be lost), you need to build potency to even match the Tremor-reverb (spend 40 charge count to simply deal 100% of tremor as sloth damage is ridiculous. Rodion, for example, needs 12 turns to do so. And demanding 70 spent charge count to deal 120% damage is insane). But that is all tremor aspects.
As a charge IDs, theyare no different from season 2 IDs - build charge to spend it onskill 3 skill 3-2. Exept they bith have Dawn office mechanics with turning defense skill into skil 3-2.
And noirs support only noirs, Rodion supports charge IDs, but wants to be in team with noirs (due to her double status), but at the same time she doesn't have any synergy with them, exept for, ONCE AGAIN, tremor.
I think Kim Jihoon got PTSD from Telepole Don corrosion and still didn't recover from it, because he refuses to make charge IDs that actually want charge team. We have only 2 (3 if counting the rodion) charge IDs that want charge team: AEDD Gregor and W Outis. I want a ChargeCircleJerk team, where everyone gives everyone charge, can spend anothers charge, gains benefits from having other charge IDs. Not just "this is team, because there are, emmm, few EGOs that give charge".

11:54 - it would be very VERY FUNNY, if we would get Crimson Scar Ishmael and Cobalt Scar Heatcliff for this month Walpurgis and they would be charge-bleed IDs 😂

I was running the MD today and testing new MD farming method when I came across something that put all pieces together about charge and attitude towards charge in Project Moon.
I discovered something that nobody talks about. It was under our noses all the time and no one ever talked about that. I even did 4 hour research to confirm everything
So, context: There is new method farm MD with Hollow EGO for Faust + Mao Faust ID + Grand Welcome + Sharp Needle & Thread. You use awakening in first encounter two times and for the rest of the MD you use overclocked EGO while collecting respective EGO stones. Hollow EGO is poise-sinking-charge.
So, each stone gives base power to respective status EGOs Awakenings and Corrosions. And after crafting charge stone (The fragment of Friction), I noticed that not only base power didn’t change, but the damage didn’t increase as well.
So, I will provide first parts of the descriptions for each Fragment – you can check the wiki for full effect.
Fragment of Hellfire:
Activates when using E.G.O Skills that apply Burn Potency, Count, or 'Unique Burn'.
Fragment of Allurement:
Activates when using E.G.O Skills that inflict Bleed Potency, Count, or 'Unique Bleed'.
Fragment of Inertia:
Activates when using E.G.O Skills that apply Tremor Potency, Count, or 'Unique Tremor'.
Fragment of Desire:
Activates when using E.G.O Skills that inflict Rupture Potency or Count.
Fragment of Decay:
Activates when using E.G.O Skills that inflict Sinking Potency, Count, or 'Unique Sinking'.
Fragment of Conceit:
Activates when using E.G.O Skills that apply or gain Poise Potency or Count.
Fragment of Friction:
Activates when using E.G.O Awakening Skills that gain or consume Charge Count or 'Unique Charge'(fixed Potency).
In case you didn’t catch it – Charge stone is THE ONLY stone EGO gift that DOESN’T ACTIVATE ON CORROSION OR OVERCLOCK!
This single handedly proves that Kim Jihooh was scared of, is scared of and will be scared of the singe best charge team support EGO – Overclocked Telepole Don.
Especially if we look at the dates. EGO stones were released when MD 4 was released – Mirror of the Wuthering. And it was released on May 2 2024 – more than 2 years and 5 months ago.
We know, that Project Moon can and will rebalance EGO gifts if they want it. Easiest example – “Hot ‘n Juicy Drumstick” and “Dry-to-the-Bone Breast”. When they were introduced, their burn count and rupture count applications were uncapped. But later, they got capped to three activations per turn. Also, Project Moon balanced the “Glimpse of Flames”, capping the wrath damage activation to 10 burn count per turn.
Which returns us to the charge stone and why they didn’t make it activate on corrosions.
I doubted myself, if it is really as simple as telepole don overclock, so I decided to check other charge EGOs that were released before release of the stones.
I looked at the corrosion effects because that is the conditional that doesn’t activate charge stone. It might not be interesting to read, but I tried to summarize the as much as possible.
Telepole Heathcliff (2023.02.27)
3 AOE EGO that spends charge to roll up to 54 and can give Heathcliff 9 fragility next turn.
Telepole Don Quixote (2023.03.30)
Rolls up to 29 with 3 AOE. Can potentially give Don 42 charge (3 hits + after attack effect), gives Don up to 40 rupture potency and 5 fragility and applies 12 charge count 5 fragility and 10 rupture to al other allies
Telepole Faust (2023.04.06)
Rolls up to 34 with 3 AOE. On hit inflits 5 paralyze, gives Faust only 10 charge count, on tail hit inflicts 2 paralyze and 2 bind on 2 random units (including allies) and gives Faust 3 more charge
Dimension Shredder Yi Sang (2023.05.18)
Rolls up to 42 on single target. Spends charge count for more damage, inflicts 5 Dimensional rift, inflict 6 rupture, deals additional pride damage.
Dimension Shredder Hong Lu (2023.05.18)
Rolls up to 34 with 3 AOE. Gives 3 Haste to Hong Lu. Spends 10 charge to inflict total of 3 fragile and 6 dimensional rift on each hit enemy
AEDD Heathcliff (2023.06.08)
Rolls up to 29 on single target. Gives up to 7 charge count before attack to Heathcliff, gives him 2 haste next turn, spends all charge count to deal bonus damage/ On tail gives Heathcliff 10 charge count and takes 10% of his max hp.
AEDD Gregor (2023.06.15)
Rolls up to 31 with 3 AOE. Gives Gregor 10 charge count. On each hit, inflicts 15 spark discharge and 7 charge count (What? Project Moon, what the hell?! Why are we giving charge to enemies???)
Blind Obsession Ryōshū (2023.11.30)
Rolls up to 30 with 3 AOE. Gives Ryoushu 4 poise and consumes up 20 charge to give additional 10 poise, on hit gives up to 3 poise count, deal more damage on crit, returns 4 charge for each defeated enemy (max 12).
Blind Obsession Ishmael (2023.11.30)
Rolls up to 35 with 7 AOE. For each hit heals HP (up to 21%), gives up to 7 poise potency and count, applies 3 pride fragility to each hit enemy, applies 2 damage up to 4 allies next turn. (Project Moon, where did you lose charge interactions after switching from awakening to corrosion???)
Electric Screaming Meursault (2024.04.11)
Rolls up to 28 with up to 5 AOE. On hit, applies 1 paralyze and 3 rupture. If Meursault has 10+ charge count, inflicts twice the amount of negative effects (wow, how “generous”, Project Moon). Spends up to 20 charge count to deal up to 60% more damage.
Electric Screaming Don Quixote (2024.04.11)
Rolls up to 28 with up to 5 AOE (why PM repeats itself without any difference?). Deals additional damage on resonance, up to 36%. Don gains up to 20 charge, spending 1% of HP for each gained charge count. Spends all charge after that and deals additional 100% damage. On each kill, gains 3 charge count (up to 15).
And Project Moon looked at those corrosions on May 2 2024 and though “Yeah, that shit is too busted, we better make the stone not give them base power or damage, or players will 1 turn each boss fight in MDH, fr fr”.
It is clear as day that even such high rolling EGO as Telepole Heatcliff is not that strong due to lack of damage conditionals. And Yi Sang's one depends on rupture on enemy.
It is even more noticeable (and definitely unintended) in the MDE 15 floor. Stones scale EGOs with the amount of ego resources spent, so with adversaries that spend resources, overclocked multi-status EGOs on later floor will one-shot anything, purely because of spending 60 ego resources per use. But not charge EGOs, especially purely charge ones. They are weak as sticks in overclocked state.
No one ever noticed it nor discussed that. But this is clear, undoubtful and absolute evidence of Project Moon fearing Telepole Don Overclock. We never received any team support charge EGOs since Telepole Don (not counting AEDD EGO passive which, lets be honest, no one used before AEDD Gregor ID came out). Nor Project Moon gave us any good team synergy. Or did they thought that we would corrode Gregor o hit sinners to inflict charge count on them?
This is not even sad. This is… just simply pitiful, how much Project Moon hates charge and made sure it IS worse than other status effects. That’s why unique charge is not unique, unlike “charge-not-charge” in not-charge IDs.
But we got Repudiation EGO – very good charge count support with photoelectricity. I hope, we will get a team to use it. Because… currently there are no charge team with a singular goal. Yeah we can use Corporists together with Noirs and AEDD Gregor, W corp Outis and Alterationist Rodion. But… is it really a team? They are bunch of strangers who happened to share same “currency” – charge count. We can do same thing with poise and Thoracalgia Faust and it will be much more effective.
I’m most definitely overreacting, but I couldn’t not write about this after discovering that charge EGOs are nerfed in MD. And it made me even more sad about state of charge, because charge was undertuned since Canto 6.
I hope this was, at the very least, very interesting essay (or rather, flow consciousness) for you to read.

5:29 we have 2 ids that dose this
Every 10 charge consumed increases the potency and grant a buff the more you consume
The ring clankers gain base power more bleed infliction and damge 10% based on how much they consumed
But again they are unique charge lol

I just wish they removed the passive buffs of the ID's and attached them to the charge inherintly so the description of "this charge is unique" actually makes sense. Make Preservation give Def Up and Shield and Pulsation Dmg Up and Heal inherent to the count/potency instead of "this unit has a passive that does that when having charge"
@nulls5408 1 day ago
From the looks of things, it seems like theirs 3 - potentially 4 styles that pm is trying with charge with this canto. Noir’s sheild based style (might use a supportive version of chaplin’s +250% sheild skill that absurdly buffs noir), the rogue’s diet bloodfiend style (buffet minions use their hp to fuel him and he can unstagger + unopposed attack with them), the alteration’s duality buffing (jeanne’s nail buff that garuntees 90% chance to filp a coin side), and perhaps mersault being the neate’s giant which is probably a fusion of noir and rogue.
Most likely there probably just going to have the full canto 10 team gain so much passive charge that they always proc their big skill outside pwie clair and chaplin. And a hypothetical jeannne id
With probably the coolest thing they can do, imo, is have charge overcharge the count and potency gain of status’s - similar to what the mall fashion buff does. Not so much we just create another tailsman Sinclair incident, but just enough to help certain ids out.

I honestly think that Don is a really great way of making a real Charge team because she uses Charge Count to inflict her special nail debuff, and she does tally Charge she gains or uses to gain her stacks to do her ultimate.
I'm also a big fan if both keywords actually work together on an id instead of randomly having one thing that does basically nothing (like HoS Ryoshu who's a Poise id that kinda does help Burn because Burn activation is rare and she has some Bleed for some reason)

I think this season pm is definitely experimenting with charge, where they are taking the safe route before going nuclear. and they are doing it the way they did with burn.
last season, the burn season any glimpse of burn upscale seem kinda hopeless, for how non of the initial ids released first did anything for burn or did enough to run burn teams. even HoSshu didn't bring burn upto date.
but then the thumb finally came, along with dawn office, and they finally shot burn to the limelight. sure Scorch is doing the heavy-lifting but as I see in modern limbus, gone are days when single status team reigned supreme.
we still are at the beginning of the season with Meursault captsone id and walpurgis to look forward to so I pretty hopeful charge will get some ids and new gimmicks that will make using it not only fun but viable outside md.

As far as Im concerned red eyes might genuinely be the only charge I'd I care for the fact she uses unique charge well and my PFP is a charge I'd godammit please make unique charge unique 😭
@Zing_Station 2 days ago (edited)
I dont understand why people want charge to remain as it is, i dont like it, but why just conform with the current state? It is not unique, and the payoff isnt good either, we have charge count support, but most recent charge ids can sustain themselves, and theres nothing special to it!!!
Take butterflies, or tremor variations, deathrites, ANYTHING?? As you said, Don is a step in the right direction, but again, as you said, i want charge ids to encourage me to run charge ids, not tremor ids that encourage me to bring charge

Tremor is probobly the most unique status in the game. I guess if i had to make a complaint is that base tremor isnt that useful. But thats reaching for something to complain about.
@d8RAV0b 1 day ago
Unique charge is a superior status to the basic version even if it does nothing because unique charge is always considered as having 0 charge for the photoelectricity. And thus gains bigger bonuses just for existing.
Outside of Warden, there pretty much was no other content where something or someone could provide adequate feedback about benefit relevancy of potency stacking. That's why charge has been bad for so long.
