Excellent information - thank you!

I’ve never had any issues with my 2021 or my 2024 Wrangler Rubicon. They are remarkable vehicles!

My overpaid ex-boss bought a wrangler almost identical to mine a few years back.  Took it from the showroom floor to a parts installer and had them put 37's and a lift kit on it.  Then he complained that it didn't drive like his old Lexus SUV.  There are few things more frustrating than stupid people with money.

Regardless of what the 2door fan boys say (I’m one) the 4 door likely saved the wrangler. People were clamoring for more room and if they didn’t respond the 2 door numbers may have dropped too low to keep the wrangler in production.

I am a Toyota guy, but recently I had a rubicon 4door for a rental in my travels. I liked it so much that now I am shopping for one.

I daily drove several 4Dr Wranglers from 2007 -2021 and a Gladiator from 2021 until now.  I commuted 35 miles each way to a downtown job for 14 of those years.  We drove them for every vacation all across the country.  My wife has also had several across the same time though she leans 2Dr.  i replaced them when they were around 100k.  We've not had any major problems and I guess we are ok with the seats and bumpiness because even on 1000 mile vacations they didn't bother us.  I think the complaining is overblown since the JKs came out.  On the other hand, our first long term wrangler was a 2001 TJ and that was definitely an acquired taste to commute in. :-)

I’ve had my gladiator sport s since 2024. It’s been very reliable. I’ve done plenty of 10 hours road trips with no complaints.

I daily a 24 JLU Sport S that I have put 70000 miles on. Absolutely love it, the only issue I could complain about are the seats. My wife has a 25 4Runner TRD Offroad Premium and I honestly believe my JLU has a better ride and my 3.6 V6 and her turbo 2.4 get very similar fuel mileage and her 4Runner was over $20k more

Wife has a '21 Wrangler Unlimited Sport Altitude and I have a '24 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Both well equipped and both have the 2l Turbo. These are actually well behaved, refined, livable, and fun commuters, as well as highly capable offroaders. The 2l turbos have been reliable, have plenty of power and torque, and get really solid fuel economy.

I daily a 2025 Willy's in '41 and I love it.

They reprogrammed the steering for 26. You skipped over that. It’s amazingly calm compared to prior years of JL. I continue ue to be amazed. Seats are subjective. I find them comfortible.

The visibility out of a Jeep is next level. I put my new driver in one because it is just so easy to place anywhere you want confidently. It can't be understated how important viability is for a new driver!

I drive a Ram Bighorn (company truck) for my sales job. Had to have a rental for a week. Ended up with a Gladiator. I learned two things from my week with the Gladiator. Hated it on the highway. Loved it on dirt roads. One of the best things I've ever driven on dirt and one of the worst things I'ver ever driven on the highway.

These are really fun for daily driving and errand running if you don’t need to be on the highway for and hour and sit in traffic.

I’ve just done 100k miles on my JKU as a daily and used for all the daily duties and I’ve loved it. One of the most fun, practical and reliable vehicles I’ve owned.

Quite honestly, the seats are also a little high, too. BUT, all this seat gobbledygook I chalk that up to the fact that Wrangler seats need to flip and fold forward enough to get passengers into the rear. Seat relocaters, a dead pedal for automatic transmission models, and a flat bottom steering wheel fix pretty much everything. Yes, it shouldn’t, but, I do enjoy my 4cyl 2-door Jeep, for the past 7 years, so I’ll accept the compromise.

We've had our 2024 wrangler sport s since early 2025. We live in Phoenix AZ and have taken it to California several times, ran up to Northern AZ more times than i can count and taken it on some rough back roads which is the reason we bought it, and no problems. I love this machine.

Case looking like he's ready to review the upcoming Rewind Edition.

To get right to the point- is it that bad on the road?  No it's not.  My 2018 4-door is my daily driver and I also use it for long trips.  It is not as nice as some vehicles you can buy, or as smooth or as quiet, but I don't miss any of those things.  I would not buy one for a daily driver if that was all I was going to use it for.  I do take mine on long offroad camping trips up to 5 times a year, that's what I bought it for and that's where it really performs best.  But if I get into it to drive to the store or drive across town I don't have any problem with it.
About the seats- I'm tall, I take 12-20 hour road trips and have no problem with the seats.  I go on week long camping trips where I carry all of my gear and sleep in the back of the jeep so I have no problem with space either.

Bought 2025 Wrangler Willy’s Recon and I love it. I drive it every day everywhere. Comes with all I need. I love the simplicity and less technology in the cabin. Fun to drive and a heritage car. Road noise is not terrible, suspension is not terrible, seats are perfectly fine. The problem is that people like to complain and cry about everything. Super reliable but not for everyone ;)
