Only two types of Ork players you gotz the ones who are Brutal but Cunning then you gotz the ones who are Cunning but Brutal.

I’ve been getting my wife into 40K. She started off just rolling dice for me. Then she wanted to paint with me. Next thing I know she’s building a Sister of Battle army

A buddy of mine since high school has always been in the hobby. Demons then CSM. He's stuck with it for years, painting up his army, and placing it in a glass case in his dining room. When over for a party, I saw that army in that case and I was gone. Thanks, buddy.

I appreciate the nuance about the “tourist” players. Too often people scream the word as a insult when someone disagrees with them (it ain’t easy being a old lore T’au fan), but y’all actually do a decent job of acknowledging that there’s nothing inherently wrong with engaging with 40k on a surface level, just so long as someone isn’t a jackass about it.

Just finished my first crusade campaign. It was an absolute blast. The Imperium had already won the campaign but for a final game we did a 3vs3 3000pt planetary evacuation mission of the Xenos trying to get out alive. Wound up being absolutely epic, tanks getting one shot by weaker units that had levelled up over the last couple months, valiant last stands of out matched units, everything. Everyone should play crusade.

I'm enjoying my 40k experience so far, went from a Tourist playing Darktide, to painting for a year, now I'm finally getting into the tabletop game with my 3k points of space marines

Just subscribed after watching this seeing your collaboration with the Poorhammer podcast.

You hit it straight on the head with my boomer ass. Played back in 2nd edition, but, haven't played 40k in years.No contrast paints, living it up playing Necromunda chucking templates around.

...Ok, I'm not a boomer, but I do really miss 4th edition. I miss Ork players being able to take random stuff as Looted Trukks, I miss dudes making Drop Pods out of boxes of minis, I miss Space Wolves being able to take Leman Russ Exterminators, I miss True Grit being a thing (I see you Death Guard players).

As a boomer/veteran, we are largely abandoned by GW on all fronts as far as 40k goes, so its not surprising many retreat to Heresy/playing old editions with other boomers 😂

I love hearing you guys love the crusade games and the ongoing narrative for armies. I have a guard squad that held an objective for 3 turns in melee against a space marine squad. I have them all little knife badges as medals. I have this one Kasrkin Sergeant who protected my Castellan from a dreadnaught and lived, and a chimera that crushed a Custodes under its treads. Building the lore and achievements of your army is so fun

I'm a painter/collectors.
I dont play the game I just enjoy painting cool mini.
I got multiple army that wait on a shelf.
They will see one game every two years, and I'll get absolutely crushed cause I have only mini that I thought looked cool but doesn't work well together and mostly because I have no clue wath I'm doing 80% of the time.
But I'll have fun playing nonetheless and even more when I'll start painting new mini.

The only thing i dont like about guilliman coming back is that no other factions are getting cool things. I'd like to see huron Blackheart get a new mini and some lore to put him up there with Abaddon, some new tau tacticians with maybe units unique to them maybe like an artillery guy, a new ork "big guy"... Just something for each army that diversifies them and gives them new archetypes that I feel like a primarch imprints onto an army that includes it.

19:32 Nah i'm 14 years old got in to Warhammer like a 5 months, minimal time spent on one miniture is 1 hour

Not a boomer, but a guy thats been in the hobby since the tailend of 5th edition. I personally dont play a whole lot of 10th anymore, but have been loving playing 3rd-7th edition with a friend. I just happen to enjoy the older rulesets. It feels a lot more customizable with characters and units, with a lot more focus on narrative games rather than balance.

Also, "they were here for psychic awakening", bub, i was there for 1d4chan and assault on black reach.
