You’re brave for talking about this. Society puts so much of our worth into our weight. You’re beautiful inside and out.

Women's bodies change a lot through life. Far better to work with the body you have than wishing for the one you don't. Well done you for acknowleding a common situation and resulting dilemma. Good style looks good on everyone and you are stylish and beautiful regardless of the number on the scale or the pants tag.

I feel like we need to just embrace how we are in the moment and have clothes that make us happy and feel good!

Hi Sandra! This is the first time I come across your channel and I just wanted to leave a comment because you're gorgeous and you seem like such a genuine sweet person; as women, our bodies fluctuate so much throughout our life and we shouldn't let the way our clothes fit during a specific period affect our enjoyment of that period of life, cause when you look back on times you were really happy I can assure you you cannot remember in the slightest what you were wearing, all you remember is what you lived and the people you were with and the experiences. Get rid of the clothes that doesn't fit and dont attach feelings to them. Go find better pieces that fit, not only your body but your style and the stage of life you're currently living. And when those dont fit you anymore, literally and figuratively, get rid of those and do it all over again. Life is too precious and too short to be worried about the way our clothes fit. Make sure you're comfortable enough to enjoy your life and that's all that matters.

Thank you for this video. Going through menopause, I have gained about 15 kg and as a petite, this is a lot. And I can’t get rid of the kilos as I used to. Have therefore decided to not beat myself up. I am decluttering my wardrobe right now and I look forward to feeling good again with what I keep.  You are very inspiring ❤

This has happened to me and I’ve lost and gained weight. One thing I would recommend is, aswell as keeping your favourite items that don’t fit, create a small capsule wardrobe of items so that if you are that size again you do not have to buy too many things. I have my wardrobe recorded digitally on Open Wardrobe and I have a “too small” and a “too big” in storage “wardrobes” where I keep a record of what I have but the physical items are stored away out of sight. Once you’ve made a decision on an item put it on Vinted etc straight away and store it away from your wardrobe. It is so good you are doing this as you deserve to feel good whatever your size so now when you open your wardrobe you can have confidence and be creative with what you have.

I am 52 years old. I fluctuate in my weight a good 10 to 15 pounds swing sometimes. My suggestion to you is do not get rid of anything. Put it all in a bin or in another storage place and hold onto it. We as women have many factors as to why our weight shifts. Salt, stress levels, sleep, hormones, movement versus non-movement… Etc. You have beautiful items. And you should hold onto them. Pulling out the items that don’t fit is a great move. There is no reason that you should feel down on yourself before the day is even started. Our weight does not define us. You are beautiful, creative, and worthy of loving yourself in the stage of life you were in now.

I can tell you from experience that just removing those clothes that don't fit right now, is going to change EVERYTHING for the better!

Sandra, I'm not sure of your situation but I held on to some really cute items from my late 20s and 30s before I had kids and they now fit me again at age 57 and I'm so glad I kept them! I'd recommend that for more flexible tops and skirts but not other items - just pack away a few that you absolutely love. Good luck and thank you for sharing your journey.

After having a kid, I have just not been able to get rid of the last few kilos, most of it has been retained in my lower belly and thighs. None of my clothes fit me the way I am used to. Watching you accept your body and move on, helps me look at my clothes and body in a different way as well. Thank you!

One minute in the video, and I feel it so much.. gained weight in the past couple of years and finally decided to declutter pants I just won't fit in anymore, I'm not a teenager anymore, it's okay

First time watcher here and you immediately gained me as a follower just by the way you introduced this video (I clicked on it, just thinking it's the casual closet declutter according to "does it spark joy?" but I wasn't disappointed at all!). I've had so many phases with my body (going up and down, doesn't matter, really) and I'm finally at a better place mentally, and it's so natural for women to fluctuate in weight and body shape and I felt it was so refreshing, how you talked about it. Very relatable struggle and while I try to not be negative about a weight change, it is totally okay to be a bit sad about clothing not fitting you anymore in the way it used to and that can be completely separate from the weight gain/loss and that was just awesome to hear from someone else <3 hope you have a great day and I'm looking forward to more videos from you!

You are not alone. I gained a lot of weight and it is hard to lose it, but the motivation to work with the body you have now will feel better. At the moment I been shopping at the thrift stores to save some money. I cant wait to see the next video and I am happy to go on this journey with you

I think it would be a good idea to identify the pieces that you wore the most out of the too small pile.
Even though we think we know what we wear the most, we might surprise ourselves with a task like this.
This way you will know what wardrobe gaps you really have right now, what you should repurchase.
Don't be sad, you will find so many beautiful clothes in the future! Yeah, clothes cost a lot of money, but health and comfort are much more important 🥰
