Man I’m the head director of the show. I’ve never had so much fun watching a review. Thanks guys, made my day!

My nuggets from the polygamist:
1. The children are the victims of bad marriages.
2. Stop putting children in the mix of complicated relationships!
3.Sex and children won’t keep a man.
4. Leave before your kids gets damaged.
5. No WOMAN IS TOO SPECIAL FOR A CHEATER

When Netflix asked me "are you still watching" while im mid-episode 12, I cussed my TV and that app out soooo bad!!! "WTF YOU THINK IM DOING!?! STOP ASKING ME DUMBASS QUESTIONS!!" I couldnt find that remote fast enough.

The best comment I read somewhere was “We just kept finding out, and finding out and findin out” 😂

The idea of polygamy being introduced later in the show is more about how men in South Africa try to sanitize their promiscuity with polygamy. Most women don't sign up for that

Essie wasn’t wife one. He was already married to Joyce. He married Joyce at school. When he came back to Soweto 8 years after he left for school, he was married to Joyce and had already had Menzi and Essie had Freedom. Essie was the second wife. Jonasi asked her to be his second wife and told her he would discuss it with Joyce. Thats why they had a tribal wedding. Then when they ran into Joyce at the baby store, he lied about who Essie was and that’s why Essie argued with him about him telling her Joyce knew. But she went along with the lie because she didn’t want to lose Jonasi.

Joyce knew he was not going to take HIV medication because he refused to take the gonorrhea medication 😊

Jonasi DID know that Lindani was Menzi’s crush because earlier in the show he is making fun of him and that’s why him and Magesh say “you take a person from another person”. They were saying that to Menzi coz he told them that she has a boyfriend.

AS A SOUTH AFRICAN, I WANT TO STATE, THE STEALING OF A HUSBAND'S BODY IS NOT FICTION. IT HAPPENS

Fun fact. The series' producers, Gugu Zuma-Ncube & Thuli Zuma are siblings from a Polygamous marriage of our former president Jacob Zuma

Magesh was also an enabler cause why did he agree to the lie? 😔

Sidebar observation:The fact that they only had 1 doctor in the whole hospital.  He was a OB/GYM, a ER doctor, and a Primary Care Dr. 😂😂 the whole season 😂😂😂

When Sara tried to kiss her uncle he said “oh uh uh. this gotta be a demon. we need to get that root offa y’all.”

I didn’t feel bad for Matipa at all. She intentionally went after a married man and then wanted to be treated as the prize. After you gave him those babies you got to experience what Joyce experienced and now you see Jonas for what and who he really is! Girl bye ✌🏽

She lit the passports and flight tickets on fire.

Essie was wife 2. He married Joyce behind her back and then married her as a consolation.

This show was true African style. Nothing surprised me but I clenched my pearls when he got with Lendani.

Many African women see wigs as a status symbol. The point is not for the hair to look natural. The point is to emphasize status and the ability to afford a wig. Black American women are typically more focused on the wigs looking natural. Essie's bad wigs were indicative of her social status.

I watched it and all I kept saying was Do You See This Ish... and I was watching by myself😅🤣😅

He knew she was his crush.  He just didn't care.  He took his son's crush just like he told him to do to take her from her boyfriend at the time
