“Life is too short to work so hard.” - Vivien Leigh

I think she was extremely gorgeous

She was beautiful

Bipolar is no joke. It can make you irrational and manic and the sex addiction stuff is also a part of it for some people. Feel bad for her. She had problems and was born in a time where there isn’t resources for those with bipolar like those now

I love your channel and how respectful you are.

As a cancer patient thank you for your videos they help distract me from the pain I be in 💛💛💛 you are such a amazing person for what you do 💛💛💛💙💙💙❤️❤️❤️

She was a fine looking woman

Using coconut oil to take your makeup off is actually tea ❤ she got that right! No chemicals, it works just as well, and its nourishing. She had a memorable face, expressive but soft

She was absolutely stunning

She was beautiful.

I can smell the cigarette smoke looking at the pictures. My grandma looked just like her and was obsessed with her

I was born in the early 70s and I remember Vivienne Leigh being a huge star to my grandparents' generation. Gone with the Wind was one of the biggest movies of all time, especially if you count success in number of tickets sold rather than just box office gross. And it was in blazing colour at a time when 99% of films were still black-&-white. By the way her name was always pronounced "Lee"

I have read many books on Vivien Leigh and she had documented Manic Depression--what we now call Bipolar.
There were no reports of Satanism or possession with Vivien.

Vivien was someone who in our time period would have done well on an anti psychotic and a mood stabilizer like Lithium or Seizure medicine. She never got that--she got ECT instead which does not treat the mood swings.
Leigh's Bipolar disorder was of a classic type with lots of mood swings. When she was manic, she was argumentative and had a sexual component--she would actually pick up strangers at night.

Many other Hollywood stars of the time have stories of the beautiful Vivien being slutty and promiscuous at night and then quiet and ashamed the next day.  She understood she had a disorder so she would write apologies to those she had offended and she would try to explain what her problem was.

It was really sad because while there were some that would try to exploit her disorder(like Marlon Brando on Streetcar named Desire--he wrote his roommate that her husband seemed to be guarding her. When it was explained what the issue was, Brando said he would still wanted to sleep with her) there were those who felt protective after they had an encounter with her.  Gene Kelly described meeting her right after Gone with the Wind at a party and he was shocked they had sex that night. The next day, she was shy and apologetic and told Gene she had a medical problem. He comforted her and defended her later on when people gossiped about her sleeping around. Her illness was especially sad because her husband* left her after enduring years of problems.
She was a delicate, sick woman who still tried to work despite her disability. Despite her severe Bipolar, she was extraordinarily gifted and she won 2 Oscars.

*since you deal in scandals, one of the scandals she was involved in was that her husband, the great actor Lawrence Olivier, was also bisexual and he brought his boyfriend, comedian Danny Kay, to help him take care of Vivien after a huge breakdown that made the press during the film Elephant walk.  Vivien was replaced in that film by Liz Taylor.

I can never sit through warching A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. Vivien Leigh's breakdown while doing the film is too obvious and unsettling.

I'm shocked about the Hatie McDaniel comment because in the sixties, when Gone with the Wind was scene on tv a reporter asked her how she felt about watching the movie! She said it was too hard to watch so she didn't, because a lot of her costars where nonlonger living. She said affectionately  and fondly "Especially my darling Hatie!" Its said that they shared a warm connection frequently joking between takes and often spent time together off camera during the production.

Hi Karine!!!! 😊I deeply appreciate the amount of time and effort that put into your videos! You REALLY do your homework and your voice is so soothing!!! Thank you!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Poor Vivien - it really gets me down every single time when I read the bitter truth about how SO MANY talents from Hollywood, particularly its Golden Age, gave SO MUCH to the world of cinema and beyond, and yet ended up becoming victims of SUCH ill fates!!! If she WAS possessed, well... it was as if she sold her soul to obtain the talent, fame and legacy she's remembered for to this day and it was only a matter of time before the Devil came around the corner to collect.

Gone with the wind, and a streetcar name desire, Enjoyed her acting. She was bipolar, but she got it done.

I was a sex addict 10 years ago. Definitely demon oppressed. Absolutely. I had bipolar too. Demon oppression. Got healed!

I think she was one of the most sensual women ever to grace the big screen.
