Theres something really funny about someone being a Terry main in two games that he's not from.

Years ago at a pre-smashcon local, i played against and lost to riddles when he was a richter player. A few years later, i cosplayed as terry at smashcon and he signed my hat. Now i periodically run into him in sf6 online and he beats me there too. It’s been really cool seeing his success across multiple games over time

Most players get nervous in offline tournaments, causing their performance not as good as online. Riddles however is the other way around, his offline performance is much better than online. It's a precious quality, especially for a young player like him.

riddles doing it for the love of terry

On the "being 1st or last", I once helped organize some local tournaments for no more than 20 players, I suggested taking a small cut from the pot to buy some chocolate bars or candy or whatever which was destined to the top8 players after 3rd, it wasn't much, but regular players who sometimes made 5th to 7th were really happy with their chocolate bar, especially when we made a small ceremony to give them the "prize". Fun stuff, is just more than just winning the tournament.

Man, that covid talk hit. I graduated 2020. No prom, no other senior year activities. Graduation was setup like a drive thru, go in, walk up, grab your diploma, take pictures, and leave.

Damn Brian’s editor really nails these hype reels at the start

I am a simple man, I see Riddles and Brian F together and I smash that like button and comment. A dream team and a great interview!

I agree with Brian the smash crowds come through in support. Even on an international level they show up with attendance and production

Brian, I've finished university 7 years ago and still sometimes have nightmares of not having studied for an exam or missing a class to get my degree.

Brian really moved his whole set up while on vacation just to get us a trash talk episode. GOAT

@naoseikkk7609 11 months ago

Brian, the trash talk episodes are being uploaded first on youtube and later on spotify, I wanted to support you on spotify, but the episodes being uploaded here first makes me watch the episode on youtube. I don't know if you are aware of this or if you don't mind, but just letting you know!

Ok this would never happen but I would love for you Brian and coney talk for 5 hours. Feels like you two went through similar steps in life and have crazy stories

on power rankings, theyre also super important for getting sponsors into the scene

listing your good results at tournaments a sponsor has no clue about, means a lot less than saying "im number 3 in the world." it gave them something more to bite into and invest in

9:13 Calling online mode "wi-fi" is from before Riddles's time, back in the Wii days every game that had an online mode had it called "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection" so in Brawl the online mode was this big button that had a big "WI-FI" on it. Smash 4 and Ultimate are a continuation of the Brawl community, so a lot of the terminology carried over. On the Melee side they only ever played online back then via the dolphin emulator with the netplay feature so they call it netplay instead.
