This type of thing makes perfect sense for a character like Carnage. He is basically a horror slasher anyway

They didn't have dead heroes hanging around.  People are misremembering that, but I understand why.  What was hanging around the house were the tattered and bloodied remains of superhero suits, implying the heroes were brutally killed and had their suits stripped from them.  I walked through this house when I was eleven, and it really disturbed me.  Especially the Spiderman suit.  It was just the chest part of the suit, all bloodied and ripped at the neck, arms and hips.  That's probably why people think Spiderman was decapitated.  The mask might of been hanging somewhere else.  I'm pretty sure there were trophies mounted around, like a bloodied Captain America shield.  I sort of remember that.  Thor's hammer and Ironman's helmet were there, too, I think.  Definitely a tattered Punisher shirt.  The maze wasn't scary, it was just a bad vibe.  I didn't traumatize me as a kid, but it was a real bummer being in there.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.  I'll see if I can remember.

Comic book nerds would of Loved this now a days

you might want to include a flashing lights warning, that one part at 4:06 with the strobe lights is very intense.

And Marvel saying they don't like having their characters in horror settings in 2002 and 7 years later they approve of Marvel Zombies 😂 (now that would be an awesome maze to explore but that's just me 🤣)

If disney and marvel weren't cowards, I'd LOVE a marvel themed horror attraction focusing on the symbiotes. Have it be a tour of the Life Foundation where a symbiote breached containment and all the actors and animatronics are symbiote scientists and iconic symbiotes like Venom, Carnage, Lasher, Phage, Agony, Riot and others.

To this day, I curse never being able to see this
I wish there was a way to bring it back

I'll never understand the upset that haunted house cause. "I was scarred for life" yes, happy halloween. Attendance was always optional, leave your good clutching pearls at the door.

So here in Australia, we have Warner Bros. Movie World as one of our main themeparks. They have the rights to DC comics IP. For our version of HHN (called Frightnight, no where near as epic but still fun), they created a maze called DCeased based on the premise of what would happen if a Zombie Apocolypse hit and both the heroes and some of the villains became zombified. Legit one of the scariest but most amazing experiences. The maze concept designer is an artist and writer for DC and created a stand-alone comic for it. The way I legged myself out of that maze when zombie Superman chased me was wild 😂

But yep, the premise of the heroes losing and being dead is a thing that does happen. I believe DCeased will be back for this years frightnight. I hope Maximum Carnage wasn't a Mandala effect and was actually legit with the heroes losing concept!

1:18 Silver Samurai was never at the event, that silver ninja with nunchucks is a villain named Splice from Wonder Man

They should bring back marvel and something like marvel zombie comics.

This marvelous timeline is a bad end no hero and no saving people from the villain and the villain are taken over the world and destroyed the world and this image will haunted your mind forever it will never go away form your memory

They had the triceratops head in the jurassic park walk through...

There hasn't been any Marvel themed Halloween stuff at Universal since because Disney acquired Marvel in 2009, all Universal has is film distribution rights to any standalone Hulk movie

I went through this house and there was definitely a "dead" Wolverine and Capt. America in it early in the event, but I think they got removed during the event run. Stuff like that happens every year, an effect stops working, a scare proves too dangerous, or something slows the line down too much, and next week it's gone.

In 2002 there were 2 Marvel films, Blade II and Spider-Man prior to Halloween Horror Nights: Islands of Fear. I know Blade II has horror elements like the first movie because it involves vampires and  Blade is a half human half vampire who acts as a vampire hunter. What would makes no sense is that Marvel was mad at Universal for making a Marvel themed horror scare zone at Marvel Superhero Island which involved famous Marvel superheroes being killed off. It does tie into the Islands of Fear lore since the icon of the event The Caretaker made Carnage and other villains invincible so they killed all of the superheroes as the result. I know the backstory of Maximum Carnage is an alternate scenario in which in the original comic book crossover series Maximum Carnage, the heroes won but in this event they lost and were killed except for The Punisher who was corrupted by The Caretaker’s darkness and became a villain armed with a flamethrower. I heard rumors of a decapitated Spider-Man, bloodied Captain America, Thor’s hammer left abandoned, and Iron Man’s armor scattered around but those were never confirmed. At 2:35 in this video I believe that’s supposed to be a mannequin of Wolverine in his iconic yellow and blue suit strung up above a doorway and I heard his arms were ripped off.

I think a proper modern Marvel house for HHN could be a Venom themed one. Make the island a haven/covered in symbiotes, with the premise being Knull's takeover.

I remember going multiple times that year (before pricing and lines became insane). This always was my favorite house and year. It was something special to witness. They DID in fact have a Wolverine costume dummy on the wall killed and I do remember seeing the Cap shield in there.

With how dark marvel can get I’m surprised and disappointed Marvel didn’t like this.
