The Bunyip must be possessed by the actual spirit of the Bunyip.

It was based on an urban legend of a shape shifting monster that lurks in swamps, billabongs, and rivers while it acts like a dangerous predator and the wildernesses untamed symbol.

It can hunt and devour humans if someone (especially women and children) wanders too close to unfamiliar waters.

Nice story! If this gets a sequel or two I high suggest you doing a story about the Big Banana Bunyip and maybe the Ettamogah bunyip or maybe the original Murray Bridge Bunyip (which was a lot creepier than the current one) with the baby.

Great story man! That animatronic thing looks crazy I've never seen that before definitely looks like it could be tribal! It's awesome that it was alive and just like came out of the water and started moving in ways that it's not supposed to, I could definitely this thing being some kind of cool horror movie.

This Bunyip had an original form and it was creepy and it had a kid and then this cartoon like Bunyip and I know for a fact it’s based off of a shape shifting water monster.
