Let me know your thoughts on the XY era of the Pokemon Anime and which Gen 6 Pokemon was your favorite (and why is it Noivern)?

The quality of this series is unparalleled. Make sure you take a well-deserved holiday when it's done

Kinda impressive he's managed to achieve everything in just a single year of his life.

I’ll die on the hill saying XY was the best season of Ash’s journey. Not only did Ash feel like he was in his absolute prime, they made Team Flare and Lysandre actually decent with the Mega Evolution sepcials that eventually connected to XYZ

When this series is complete this guy deserves a rousing applause

Despite having started out with the originals when they first came out, way back in the late 90s, the X&Y era of the show is probably my favorite.

Oh man this season i remember everyone was mad during the finals of the league. "Ash should've won", "He had the type advance and special transformation", " Greninja should've curb stomped Charizard". Oh man the Internet wasn't happy for a whole week and a half.

I love how this series fixed Ash Ketchum's personality from the previous series.

44:56 I found the moment Serena cuts her hair really poignant. I don't know what it was about it, but there was something about the way she let herself feel upset, then gathered herself and resolved to do better for herself and her Pokemon.

I just noticed after looking the video that Sawyer does what every pokemon players do in their own adventure (in videogames): he takes few weeks to train a full team of good pokemons, win the 8 badges in record time and take on the league... Too bad the timeline Sawyer is in screwed him because he went against plot armored frog

Also fun fact: I just noticed that this is the first generation Ash doesn't have grass starter

Clemont is the Oppenheimer of Pokémon

Ash has a hell of a track record with flying types now that I think about it, especially in XY.

As someone who’s always enjoyed Pokémon but didn’t follow the anime past the Johto league, this series has been a ton of fun to watch. Thanks for your hard work on these videos!

The 'Hat Kid' joke, is exactly how Straw Hat Luffy got his name. He thought his opponent, in the second episode, was just stating the obvious, so Luffy did too.

1:32:24 - Oh hey, Astrid. She previously fought both Alain in Mega Evolution Special Act I (she lost) and Ash in Diance and the Cocoon of Destruction (she won). The implication that Hawlucha solo’d her whole team at the League is really cathartic.

Coming off XY games that were 6/10 and an average Gen 5 anime, the perfect writing and progression that this series had was incredible and unexpected. I remember when this anime was out, I was so excited for each week's episode because of how much I loved it, particularly from how awesome the first 2 episodes were.
