Some horrors come from the shadows. These come from the people, places, and forces everyone assumed were safe. In this video, we explore horror movies where danger hides in plain sight, disguised as help, protection, or something far older pretending to be something else. From a group of friends hunted on a lonely road in Downrange to a hunting trip that turns deadly in Beyond the Reach, every story on this list strips away the illusion of safety piece by piece.
This list also includes a caretaker with a hidden agenda in Evil Intent, a priest confronting something far darker than a simple exorcism in The Pope's Exorcist, a family debt that refuses to stay buried in Sebelum 7 Hari, and a haunted room that knows exactly how to break a man in 1408. Watch till the end and comment which one disturbed you the most.

Then later appeared in the rearview mirror of the hotel manager's car as a burned corpse, scaring the duck out of him and prompting him to drop the tape recorder that somehow survived the fire enough to still play the recording.
