Just to clarify, Bohemian fashion goes back a long before the 2000s. It was there in the 1960s and 70s (look at Stevie Nicks), but as an amateur fashion historian I can trace it back to the 1880s and the Arts and Crafts movement. Artistic women stopped wearing corsets and wore loose gowns, long coats, shawls, and head scarves based on Medieval dress and textiles like floral tapestries. The style came back again around WWI; I have photos of my grandmother and her sister wearing vests, fringe shawls, and velvet hats from approx. 1917. I realize you are addressing modern fashion, but there is a wealth of ideas to be explored in the past.

You weren't alive yet but in the 1970s, fringe was everywhere. It was on jackets, purses, dresses, shawls, you name it. In fact there was a whole movement of bohemian clothing in the 1970s. I know because I was in high school. Gunny Sack (brand) dresses were all the rage as well as floppy hats and suede fringed jackets.

I've always leaned and been bohemian in so many ways. 71...almost 72.

Boho chic and edgy rocker chic is my usual style ❤ I actually prefer the earlier renditions of this style bc it was so carefree. I feel like a lot of styles now are trying so hard to present as elevated and perfectly curated effortlessness (which is somewhat contradictory but alas) when the essence of boho style is just BEING. But that’s just my two cents. Great video. 😊

Bohemian style came back strong in the 1960s. Its what I wore in the late '60s and throughout most of the '70s. Went off the rails in the 1980s (ugh!), but my ultimate overall style is, in fact, boho. It suits my lifestyle, my aesthetic, my spirit. No matter what is in style at any given moment, I will always be a bit boho (kimonos and shawls, long skirts, flowers and fringe, cowboy or tall lace-up boots). Love your flowy white dress.

Folkloric style from eastern contries

I have a few bohemian pieces in silk from the 1890s and the early 1900s none of them are later then 1907. I use them as inspiration for the pieces I now make from reclaimed textiles. I source as many materials second and third hand as I can... Ah but that was bohemian behavior in the 1960s & 70s, so it is nothing new.

I remember the 2000s boho wave well 😅 I love the richness of the drape, although it's absolutely not something I'd be comfortable in personally!
