Click here https://bit.ly/3E06juz and use my code "GAIJIN15" to get $15 off your first Bokksu Japanese snack box! DON'T WORRY GANG! I'll be finishing up the last three characters soon. And honestly they're WAY more interesting! Next up, Samurai Rabbit, Usagi Yojimbo Chronicles! See you in a week or two!

I think the "Adult" symbols and hearts are actually kind of representative of not just kami, but the concepts of adulthood responsibility and love. She's basically "adulting" to take care of the situations thrown her way, or using the power of friendship (As in, love between a group of people that binds them together) to overcome them.

3:45 THAT was actually localisation edit! In the original Kiki Kaikai 3: Tsukiyo Sōshi it still says 大人 Otona on it.

2:40 I will not forget how the Pokemon anime called these things "Anti-Ghost Stickers"

For those who may know it. The vocaloid song Kami no Manimani tells the Story of Amaterasu in the cave.

I'm surprised that when talking about the mirror, you didn't mention that the person who coaxed Amaterasu into seeing her reflection was Ame-no-Uzume, one of the playable characters in the game and the kami Pocky supposedly channels as a Miko.

QUICK CORRECTION!  It's not 大人 but rather 大入 which is like "big entry" or maybe "home"?  Doesn't make any more sense, but just a quick fix for the video!

I asked for Touhou, and this is just about the most roundabout way I could have gotten it.

I gotta admit this is one of the last thing I expected to get a remaster. I saw this game on another channel once and kinda just forgot about it

dear Gaijin Goombah... thank you for all your program about japanese culture and what is the difference from the model to history👍

Aw yeeeaah Pocky & Rocky : D I always thought Pocky was throwing playing cards as a kid : | ;; This is 100% one of those games you replay as an adult and understand a lot more of the culture behind it. Which is really cool.

Soooo uhhh. . . . since we in the same territory - . . . . Is uh . . . is it Touhou time?

I used to love Pocky and Rocky when I was a kid 🖤 Also I still love the aesthetic of these two especially Rocky, as a kid I thought he looked so cool lol

Always fun to learn more cultural lore of Japan. And I have to say, that the moment the mirror showed up in the footage for the first time, I IMMEDIEATELY thought of the Yata-no-Kagami. And I can never think of just one of the Regalia without thinking of the other two as well. And while I can easily blame the Naruto series for hammering the name of the Kusanagi into my head, I honestly feel ashamed that I can never remember the exact name of the specific magatama that joins its brethren without having to look it up. I think it's the 'Yasakani', but I'm almost certainly wrong. I'd happily welcome corrections you could provide, Gaijin.

Side note, I am pleasantly surprised to see that the next cultural video is gonna be about Yojimbo Usagi. I remember reading some of the comics that came State-side in the early 90's, so to learn more about one of the first characters to spark my love of Japan is always going to be ejoyed.

3:40 "I need an adult."

Interesting that the name of one of the Characters in the Nickelodeon Netflix series Glitch techs even if this only a coincidence.

Ooh, you're finally talking about Usagi Yojimbo?! I know nothing about that upcoming Netflix show, but I frigging love the original comic, and his appearances on the various Ninja Turtle cartoons over the years. I can't wait to hear you talk about that beloved character.

Fun fact, Gaijin: The Yata No Kagami, or Eight Point Star Mirror, was referenced in the KOF's Orochi Saga. Chizuru Kagura, according to the lore, is the current owner, and her powers during combat, REFLECTS that of the mirror's nature.

I almost lost my mind when I first saw the trailer for this, I missed out on it when I was a kid and the reputation for how good is massive. To say the least it wasn't all that long after that I pre-ordered a physical copy. Which should be in my hands in about a week or so.

Wait, so next time isn't about an adaptation of Usagi Yojimbo? Because It looks like It should be related to western comic that's considered a brother series to Ninja Turtles, to the point that the titular rabbit has shown up in multiple incarnations of TMNT cartoons.

A star walks into a black hole but doesn't seen phased. The black hole then turns to the star and says, "I don't think you understand the gravity of this situation."
