The fact that Zach loves the movie Cats, and has the audacity to call ANYTHING cheap.

Excuse meee roxanne is one of the best musical scene in a movie of all timeee you can feel the passion, anger, and jealousy boiling your soulll

1) This movie is the definition of “camp”. It’s over the top and crazy, but if you’re paying attention, there is a point to the madness.
2) Keith talking about being hilariously straight has me laughing so hard I’m crying 😂😂😂😂😂
Edit: I’m going to fight them all on El Tango Roxanne. That song slaps, it’s DRAMA, Ewan giving us a PERFORMANCE. 👏🏼😤

I agree with a lot of this. Except for their opinion on Roxanne. It is by far my favorite in the movie and one of my favorite movie musical moments ever. Plus if you watch the Canadian Ice Dancing performance to this song from from 2018… chills.

There is absolutely NOTHING guilty about Moulin Rouge! One of the best movies ever made, no arguments 👏❤️

John Leguizamo actually plays a real artist named Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. He was eccentric, drunk and smoked. Very much poor, however his artwork was influential to the Post-Impressionist/Art Nouveau moment.

WHAT THE HELL ROXANNE TANGO WAS THE BEST.  i'm incensed

I was surprised that Eugene was not on this podcast. But the fact that he would protest and not be on cuz he truly believes it is not a guilty pleasure movie. Lolz

I can’t believe yall said Roxanne is the weakest number when it’s most iconic part of the movie.

STOP THE RECORD AND REWIND THAT—-you guys…if u are collectively shading Roxanne I am gonna need u to seriously rewatch that part it’s soooo good. imagine singing it - it’s raw af and dancing that tango💃🏽 master class.I was with u but now we cannot go back 😧💜

"the lighthouse with the spinning wheel" KELSEY ITS A WINDMILL

PRACTICAL MAGIC  !!!!!!!!

You guys need to do it guys!! Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock in there TRUE PERFECT FORMS

I love that even though Zach didn't love the movie, he could happily ask questions and listen to the others' comments. He expressed his dislike without trying to make the others feel bad about their taste! It's a rare thing to see!

Every so often on this podcast I question Zach's taste in movies and the moment he said he didn't get Moulin Rouge and he started saying the love story felt cheap....his opinion in things lost all credibility to me

I’ve never clicked an episode of this podcast faster in my life. I LIVE for this movie 😭💜

Keith talking about being in Marching Band and watching things like this and Monty Python is like the quintessential description of marching band geeks in the early 00s! 🤣

I actually think the Roxanne cover is my favorite and I really like the gruff voice contrast and the little violin solo with the tension of the scene. Chef's kiss

I know this show has officially gone off the rails when they said the tango de Roxanne was not a bop and beautiful scene

Kelsey going "Oh the OG Romeo and Juliet!“ about the 1996 Buzz Luhrmann movie is so funny to me.. I kinda know what she meant, but she's talking about a play from the 16th century lmao...
It wasn't even the first Romeo and Juliet movie ever made!

The comment about Ewan McGregor singing in the Star Wars prequels made something wonderful/horrific pop into my head, and now I must curse you all with it:

Anakin on Mustafar. Burning as a charred lump. Obi-Wan looks down at him from the high ground and bursts into song (in true Moulin Rouge cinematic/musical cover style):

"Ani, are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Ani?"
