"Nowhere in the game does it tell you how many blue coins you've collected in each level"

Z Button: "Am I joke to you?"

@rabbitOfDemise 1 year ago

you forgot one more thing about the lilypad level. If you get to the end and think "damn i missed a coin maybe if i take the green pipe itll bring me back to the beginning", it takes you back to delfino plaza with no warning. Im convinced that level really is a sadistic joke

Now rank all 880 moons in Super Mario Odyssey.

Nobody tell him that on yoshis fruit escursion you are supposed to use the covienently placed coconut tree coconuts to change yoshis color type so the platforms float vertically instead of horizontally-

It boggles my mind when no one stops to talk to the locals, when they all have small running story lines from episode to episode and some gags. Especially when they have hints to where some secrets are or why the Sunflowers are wilting from bad turtles eating their roots.

>Pachinko machine level
>Insanely fun
What kind of paint thinner were you sniffing when you made that decision?

@Turm4R2 1 year ago

Scrubbing Sirena Beach being that low is a crime. It's a purely unique mission and one of the only times you actually use fludd for anything but platforming correction

19:54 the way he didn’t even die from the timer but from him being crushed between the cubes

What I’ve learned from this list is that you really never stopped to talk to the NPCs, you never used the Z-Button map, and you rarely, if ever, used the Mario Cam to make the casino tile flipping challenge easier.

Not only does the lady pianta tell you how to get a blue coin AND a Shine Sprite, the flowers in The Wilted Sunflowers will tell you that the Snoozakoopas are eating their roots, which is why they’re wilting and why more sunflowers pop up after they’re defeated.

The map actually tells you how many blue coins you have from each level.

This video is making me want to replay 3D all-stars and ruin my mental health getting 120 shines all over again.

4:14 You can press Z to bring up the map. There you can see how many blue coins you have in each area.

The thing about the Lily Pad Ride, if they swapped the pipe positions of the slide and the Lily Pad Ride, then it would be far more tolerable. If some kind of code limit prevented the pipe at the end from resetting the level, then that pipe could have been a bit slower of a method to reset the level instead of shmuck bait.

@alenphull 1 year ago

Am I the only one who completely loved the lily pad ride? The zen of hanging out with yoshi on the boats… the pipes in the clouds… I would take it over literally any shadow Mario shine ever

@ReinBelmont 1 year ago

21:03 Hey, I respect your opinion no matter how wrong it is

@colinpiegore6146 1 year ago (edited)

2:38 This is slightly incorrect. The second and third boats are required but the first boat can be skipped by going through the underground tunnels to reach the first island.

@OldTimeyDragon 1 year ago

2 Points of correction:
3:12 Firstly, if you die in Lilypad Ride, you don't have to do the Yoshi sequence again, you only have to do that again if A) you pause and quit, B) you enter the pipe at the end of the level, or C) you lose all your lives.
4:16 Secondly, the game DOES tell you how many Blue Coins you got in a level, they just don't tell you which specific coins you got.

Personally I think Mario Sunshine takes the cake for having the most difficult objectives in the series. Not even Odyssey solos.

@samsom1999 1 year ago

Pinna Park 4: To be fair, those Egg Turtles are probably supposed to be parasites, which drains life from surrounding sunflowers.

Massively unpopular opinion: The Watermelon Festival isn’t that bad.

The easiest way to get it done with the least amount of stress is to clear the cataquacks on the beach near the bridge using the sand buds or luring them into the water.

Then push the watermelon off the slope and hopefully (kind of just a roll of the dice) it lands on the beach.

Finally push it up the slope on the bridge then spray the watermelon the rest of the way.
