Today on the vlog we headed out to Lockerbie ram sale to buy a new ram for the crossing herd of Shetland sheep on the farm, buying a pedigree Cheviot male sheep at Lockerbie Scotland, and its big trade this will be the most expensive sheep I have ever owned, and I’d all goes wrong when we get him home and find out he is stone mad, jumping fences, will he calm down before he hurts himself??

Goodfella is a good looking fella. My cat is afraid of the Copper plushie :_Copper:, but that means I can use it to keep her off the counters. Copper is doing work at my place 😆

WOW, some of those boys went for a lot of money! Your new lad is gorgeous. Hope he and Horatio become friends. Love your videos and how well you treat your animals.

This brings back old memories. Years ago, we had Suffolk sheep. It was time to shear and it was my job to man the gate. My husband went grab our wildest ewe and she instantly went between his legs and he was on top of her facing her rear end. They were coming at me and I instinctively opened the gate and he was riding on her until he managed to roll off of her! He's 82 now and we still laugh at that incident wishing we had a video of it!!

I like how Horatio walked along with you! Hopefully the two rams will get along, in a few days. The new ram has a beautiful coat!

Such an interesting and enjoyable video! Thanks for taking us to the auction! Can’t wait to see how things are going between Horatio and Good Fella!:_Trio::_Copper:

Great video! The livestock auction was interesting and exciting. The prices were unbelievable! I can see why Goodfellow had a little bit of PTSD after being in the ring. So glad you were able to get that beautiful animal, and I hope that he sires many beautiful children. Thank you for letting us see all aspects of shepherd life, including sheep psychology.

Congrats on your prize sheep, very exciting. And gosh, this is a heartbreaking video. The sheep aren’t treated very well at the market, no wonder this beautiful guy is scared and stressed, such a different experience than when the Shetlands arrived. I’m glad he made his way to you where he will be treated kindly from here on out. I do love that his tail is intact, really love those long sheep tails! Also, I really love your Kawasaki jacket, great fit, style and fabric.

He’s a good looking tup, well done. A stressful time for you so looking forward to hearing the follow up. Wishing you all the best Sean

Brilliant day through all the heart-thumping uncertainty that's brought home this handsome tup. Excellent investment, well done, Sean. 'Hoping Horatio helps him settle without too much confrontation, and the ladies charm him through the fencing. 🐑🙏💕🐾
