HGV Truck Vlog: Driving a Volvo Demo Unit & London Runs! 🚚💨 Welcome back to the channel! Today, I’m out of my usual cab and behind the wheel of a Volvo demo truck because my regular lorry is in the shop for repairs.
Join me for a busy day of UK trucking as we complete our HGV daily checks, escape a chaotic yard first thing in the morning, and head over to Rton Airfield to pick up a load of light wooden boxes. It turns out we are loading right at the very airfield where I first learned to drive a Class 1 truck 10 years ago! I even get to catch up with my old instructor, Paul.
Once loaded up with a positive fit on our XL-rated curtain sider, we handle the traffic and tight roundabouts heading into Merton, London for the delivery. I also breakdown the dashcam drama of how my regular truck got damaged, explain the "split uncouple" procedure, and face down some classic British downpours back at the yard.

And yes i do agree, a few "miles" or kilometers for me inside Stockholm(capital city) takes ages compared to same distance in the suburbs, constant stop start, pedestrians, cyclists, scooters and so on have to have 12 eyes to keep an eye in all mirrors at once :)
