This probably isn't how you expected it to go, but it is a spiral after all

One of my favorite little details is that the first time Alan meets Ahti he refers to him as a "Friendly face". The exact same way Jesse does the first time she meets him in Control

I love the disparity between
"Sam Lake, you hack!"
And
"Miyazaki, you've done it again!"

I think my favorite thing about the Nightingale fight is that turning into a Taken brings out one’s worst, most heinous inner thoughts

And Nightingale’s personality is virtually unchanged.

Sam Lake talking with Alan Wake has the same energy as Dante being Dante in The Divine Comedy. "Oh but Florence...this poet is a pretty cool guy...this priest I don't like is near the center of Hell"

I'm just saying, if Jesse "Throw Rocks at Problems" Faden was here, the story could get cut down by 95%

I’m so sad that Bricky never noticed the signs in the New York subway. They all have the layouts and stylings of real signage, but if you read them, they have text and quotes from the first game on them. It’s really clever and hilarious to read how it fits into the structure of the signs

Also he never learned the truth about Mayor Setter. I am heartbroken

Alan Wake's constant "I'm a writer!" gives me the same vibes as "I'm Batman!"

Still love how if Jesse was there, she would've chucked Mr.Scratch back into Cauldron Lake in about 5 minutes.

“Sam lake you hack” is probably my favourite running joke across the entire channel

Cynthia Weavers story was actually so sad hearing it through the manuscript pages. The parallels between her relationship to Thomas Zane and Rose to Alan wake is so interesting though

Ahti: "The more cooks the worse the soup."

Wise words. Keep the writer's room as small as possible.

The fact that Bricky had writers block while writing the Alan Wake 2 script is kinda baller ngl.

Brickster pls don't summon the darkness and take our deerfest.

It's not a Sam Lake , it's a Sam Ocean

Entire Alan Wake experience for Brickman could be described as „Local man being edged for 20h straight, never gets to finish”

@NotZedMain 2 years ago

bricky saying he struggled with writing block is so funny considering this is what started the plot

The moment Bricky said that "We Sing" was the SECOND best musical bit in Alan Wake 2, I knew he was a true connoisseur.

Slight thing, Seer is likely just the Anderson family's word for a Parautilitarian's telepathy. That sort of speaking to and hearing others with ones mind is something that is stated in Control to show one is a Parautilitarian, its the prerequisite to the Director Program. You even see the sillouhette of the person in the background like with Jesse, only difference is that without the hotline you cant talk across the astral plane.

I feel like ive watched this man go from enemies to lovers with Sam Lake in real time

I absolutely love that both games (AL I and II) are both a metaphor on mental health AND to the hero's journey, like, the books are Departure, Initiation and Return. Sam. Lake. You. Hack.
