Hi Matt, I actually think this is probably one of the best cars you can buy and if I ever have enough money I will get one I think it looks fantastic I think the build quality is off the chart. Maybe one day hopefully cheers Phil from Newark

Good to see you got the EV out of your blood and back🔙 to serious stuff Matt 👍💯

You described what you felt in such a precise way, that i can tell you are one amongst a few that can really really describe a car. That’s exactly how it feels. I’ll buy that 718.

Great review and to be honest it was straight to the point. After watching your review I went out and bought my Boxster Agate grey 2l. Love it, the soft top come up and down at 30mph. Many thanks, Jay & Emma from the Wirral.

You’ve touched on an important point about the market. People are fooling themselves when it comes to very high performance cars - that performance is, practically, unusable. I’ve lived in many countries (including Germany) and even on the unrestricted stretches of autobahn, anything over 120mph is dangerous (I should know, on a fairly clear stretch doing 140mph, a guy doing about 50 pulled out into my lane: bang!) let alone illegal enough for one offence to get you banned. A neighbour has just swapped his MX5 for an Audi R8 V10. I wonder how long it’ll before he realises he probably had more fun in the MX5? 😀. Light, agile cars have given me much more pleasure than the hugely powerful ones I’ve had.

Think I'd prefer decent manual seats on that car - lighter and less to go wrong

Nice car Matt 👏👏👏👍👍👍

I had two MX5’s and they were very exploitable and more than fast enough. Great fun to own and drive and over half the price and way more reliable. We drove all the way to the Loire valley France and back via Paris in one . What a trip. Lovely Boxster though if you have the extra funds.

My dad had the boxster T with ceramic brakes one of the only ones in the UK. Amazing car ordered a 911 once sold and cancelled that as he couldn’t justify the difference between the boxster and 911. Great cars 👍🏼

Hey Matt, what a pretty car. I’m sure this won’t be on the forecourt for long. Nice watch too…..☀️

The 718 is definitely a fun and practical sports car (never thought I’d put those two words together). Although maintenance is pricey the maintenance intervals are well spaced and they are reliable cars. 💯worth owning one.

I realise I’m a little late but the reason there is no temperature on the climate controls, is the automatic climate control is an optional extra on the Boxster, the one you have here sadly doesn’t have that option.
That’s one way to make the 911 better, I suppose 😂
