A time-honored staple and a cherished part of regional culture. A cold, well-crafted beer—or two—is the alcoholic beverage of choice for Austrians and, increasingly, for Austrian women as well. Down-to-earth, natural, and honest—this traditional, advertisement-driven image is being revitalized by dedicated brewmasters. With passion, expertise, and a deep love for their craft, they stand against the standardized mass-produced beers of global corporations, enriching the variety of flavors and styles.

We all drink it, but do we really know the world of beer? This full-length feature documentary weaves together the stories of over 30 international protagonists across multiple countries who speak the universal language of beer, the world’s most consumed fermented beverage.
