I spiraled really hard mentally for a while a few years ago and I too would tell my wife "Id die for you" and she too hit me with "I want you to live for me, I want you to live for yourself" that one phrase changed my life forever. As a man when you find the right women that truly can calm your storm it really does change everything in your life for the better. I'm forever grateful for you Gabriela.

I met Tom and his wife on a trailhead in Acadia National Park in Maine in October 2024. We were walking toward each other, and I recognized him immediately, I was honestly a little starstruck. We shook hands and talked for a few minutes. I mentioned that I was a Marine, and he gave me a hard time in a joking way. Even though I’m not usually the type to get starstruck, I think he could tell how grateful I was to meet him.

Looking back, I really wish I had taken a picture with him. He was exactly the same in person as he is in his videos, down to earth and genuine. It was an honor to meet him. It truly was a pleasure, Tom.

Dude, the whole reason for me finally leaving the army was, I was never home. War or peace, I was deployed or training but never home. I would come home and I would fight with my wife over silly stuff until one day she said, that the bills get paid and there's food to eat in the house whether you're here or not. This was after a 45 day field exercise (FTX). I was away from home for 3/4 ths of the year even in peacetime. I loved the army, I loved my country and i still love them both but the love of my life has been by my side for over 40 years. I still miss the brotherhood and the steel which was forged in blood and fire. But this woman I have and the children she gave me are the paradise that I have the priviledge to live in. I didn't find my center through meditation, but I found it through serving others in need.

I always like listening to ex-Delta operators (when you can). They tend to be a whole lot more grounded and humble than SEALs
