What's your fondest memory from Shrek? 🫏

I never knew that Mike Myers redid all the voice acting a second time. Massive props to him, the movie wouldn't be the same without his perfect accent for Shrek.

I was at least 30 years old before I realized Lord Farquad was Lord Fk-wad

"We make movies for the adult, and the adult in the children's mind" EXACTLY HOW I SEE DREAMWORKS, this also highlights that kids aren't stupid, they just process informations differently in their simple mind, that's such an awesome quote!!!

The power behind Shrek is that they made it with love and care. It's not just a funny meme-worthy thing, it's deep, unique and wholesome

The fact that Shrek directly parodies Disney's telling of fairy tales makes them beating a Disney movie all the more hilarious

(monster's incorporated still 10/10 though)

Its ironic how Shrek was an underdog too, like how people kicked from prince of egypt got to work in Shrek

The fact the animation still holds up in 2026 is incredible, and shows how talented they were when they were literally working with scraps of animation information. How incredible

I love how the Shrek film project was mostly seen as a punishment for low performing animators in Dreamworks. I like to think that most of Shrek’s success was built out of spite from those animators and made something that towers the success of DW’s other films.

I know some of you may die, but that's the Sacrifice am willing to make..

~~Lord Farquaad~~

I heard that in the script, Lord "Farquaads" names was "Fuckwad" for a lot of its lifespan.

The Prince of Egypt is easily one of the best movies out there along with El Dorado. I wish they did more 2D movies.

Passion is a strong motivation but it never can hold a candle to the powerhouse that is spite. Artists greatest motivator is sheer spite.

***edit -okay Shrek 4 is also goated

20 years later, DreamWorks has shown they seem to still have a better grasp on the magic that used to be so prevalent in Disney.

"Uhhh.... really tall?" 😂

One of the smartest comedic animations ever. But must give credit to Mike Meyers’s for the win.

Hearing Chris Farley as Shrek really did work, but Mike Myers doing his classic Scottish Accent for Shrek, brought a new level of fairytale to the film.
