This might sound weird but as a completely blind person who still plays Pokémon due to the ability to picture a top down compass perspective as well as a screen reader to notify me of any battle text or dialogue text. This kind of video is right up my alley. I always do like being able to get as much items in any kind of game call it hoarding. Point is I would gladly like and sub if you were to do any other Games with a challenge like this. OK I was not expecting to come back to this many likes and replies. You all are really making this blind Pokémon trainers day. Oh I also answered a lot of questions in the replies but I forgot one last question. In terms of other games I'm able to play despite being completely blind but having vision growing up. I am somehow able to play the amazing rogue light Hades by super giant games. Specifically sound design, timing, as well as an assistive mechanics.

You should be glad you don't own the Pokewalker so you don't have to include items from it.  The Starf Berry is only obtainable in HGSS by getting 9,999,999 steps on the Pokewalker.

Actually the old man in Cherrygrove is correct, if you look at a map of Johto the body of water on the left is connected to the ocean

That's not how the battle frontier works... you get more BP for higher win streaks, it's not a flat 3 BP per 7 win streak.

Trusting your mom with your hard earned money already shows the dedication to the challenge. Great vid🎉

I always allow Mom to save money because, for various challenge runs, it's extremely useful. A lot of items you dont need you can just sell. Is also vital for a TRUE Prof Oak Challenge run, to get a Moon Stone before the first gym.

voltorb flip would be better than the game corner if it were 100% skill based

This challenge is gonna be fun when we get to B2W2.  There's the freakin Join Avenue that takes time, but worst of all
THE SHINY CHARM
Have fun finishing the 600-ish mon national dex just to grab that one item.

Idk why players hate the mom saving their money. I always clicked yes to this because it paid off in the long run. (Yeah, it annoying when your mom calls saying she blew your money on some stupid bs), but when i get to the elite four, its nice to see that considerably large amount of savings to spend on revives, full restores and sweep the floor with them

Want to see this in X/Y next.

I always have johto mom save my money cause it makes me end up with more overall money in the longrun

For the BP section you seem to have missed the optimal way to farm BP.  This is by getting a 21 win streak, fighting Palmer at the end of the 21st battle for 20 BP instead of the usual 3 BP, then losing the next battle to reset your streak to be able to fight Palmer again after 21 battles.

The math goes as follows:
856 BP (adding 48 for the Choice Band you skipped initially)
21 win streak = 26 BP
21 battles = 15 minutes
856 BP = ~494 minutes

Still a chunk of time, but MUCH better than the 1,345 minutes you were estimating.

20:18 Voltorb Flip is my favorite game corner game, maybe a lil slow on coin output but it’s not that difficult especially the early rounds

You could save time switching out your Pokémon by teaching Butterfree Thief since it learns that in addition to having compound eyes

A lot of people think that its a bad idea to let your mom save some of your money, but when she tells you that she spent some of your money shopping, she's actually lying to you. She doesn't actually use any of your money. So its 100% more optimal to let her save some money, even if its somewhat annoying that she calls you after every other battle pretty much (especially after getting the amulet coin), because she gives you tons of items, and she holds on to some of your money that you don't lose if you happen to lose a battle, you will only lose a portion of the money that you are actually holding onto. So always let her save some money!!!!

I don’t think I ever showed any appreciation for this vid when I first used it as like a guide. So… I appreciate you, big dog. Thanks! Great vid!

0:57 if you look at a map of Johto you'll see that is the sea, it's just that it's walled off by rocks in-game

While steelix can be naturally encountered in Johto on the way to safari zone and via a post game trade with Jasmine, it doesn't make sense to do the in game bellsprout onix trade as it doesn't cause onix to evolve

I like getting every item in the game too. I remember I got stuck on Gen 6 because there are a bunch of environment based items that have almost no use. I wanna say a snowball was one as well as a dirt clump or something like that.

Interesting video. I always loved collecting everything in this game. There’s a ton of items, and the tiles are a pain
