cool video, in my experience if people are dumb enough to fall for a scam like the eBay one then they deserve what they get, lessons in life are not free and sometimes you have to pay to learn from your mistakes, just saying.

scammers are some of the lowest lifeforms out there.

I wanted to rant online just about this sort of thing & here you are talking about it... I bought a nice slab on eBay & today it arrived in a cracked case. The person then sent me a return label through the DM's, I reported it to eBay as a damaged item & got the return label through eBay. The person said it was mistake & laughed it off. I've gotten 3 cracked slabs in my last 7 purchases from eBay & I have to return it & they blame the shipping meanwhile I'm out of my $$$ for 3 or 4 weeks. I hate having to be an unwilling participant in this scam.

A good rule of thumb, if they ask to do something outside normal, everyday business practices (I.e., pay on a different platform, contact them through a different media, send them money for your unsolicited free gift, etc....) move on immediately. Not worth the risk.

I’ve actually seen these before and thought it’s too good to be true.. low life scammers

A couple of times I've gotten messages, through eBay, from supposedly the person who just bought something from me and they're saying that eBay has their old email address and could I email them, outside eBay, because they had some questions.

I've also had one that asked to send their purchase to a different address. If you don't look close it's easy to fall for the scam. That's why I always contact the true buyer before doing anything.

I am an experienced ebay seller that only sells comics every now and then. HOWEVER, I make very clear in my listings that all transactions must be handled via ebay and any requests to change the shipping address must be handled before the transaction is completed; with all communication handled through ebay.

I get scam buyers on most of my Marketing posts. It's easy to spot them but they still take up your time going back and forth. The broken English is a red flag.

It sems as if there are all sorts of scammers in the comic book community. Our local comic local comic book shop got scammed by a supposed out-of-town seller who called the store wanting to sell books to them, and they sent him some money for the books that subsequently were not sent, and the scammer was suddenly unavailable. Fortunately, the amount of money was not worth the trouble, but enough to be quite annoying.
