On Day 1, I flew from Osaka’s Itami Airport to Haneda and embarked on an exciting city tour, visiting classic Tokyo landmarks and neighborhoods with a nostalgic, Showa-era vibe. After arriving at Haneda, I took the Keikyu Line to Asakusa to visit Senso-ji Temple—a must-see spot for any Tokyo trip. After soaking up the lively atmosphere of the temple’s approach, I boarded a water bus. I enjoyed a pleasant 55-minute cruise down the Sumida River aboard the Emeraldas*, a futuristic vessel designed by manga artist Leiji Matsumoto. From Odaiba, I took the Yurikamome line to Shimbashi and stopped by the "New Shimbashi Building," a structure that retains a strong sense of the Showa era. Amidst the retro atmosphere, I enjoyed a quick, nostalgic *omurice (omelet rice) at the long-established eatery "Musashiya." After dropping off my luggage at the hotel, I capped off the day by visiting the majestic and beautiful Tokyo Tower. It was a day filled with the authentic experience of navigating various modes of transport—planes, boats, and monorails. I hope this serves as a helpful reference for those planning a trip to Tokyo or for anyone who enjoys videos of leisurely city strolls.
