Amazing video. At 18 mins and 7 secs. I used to stand on that footbridge at Vale Rd in Northfleet as a child in the 1970's, waving to the drivers. My parents old house is clearly visible. So many great memories of those times

The amount of time I spent at the level crossing at hoo junction as a kid just watching trains go buy. Being a Gravesend lad and growing up near the main line I could always hear and sometimes feel train's go past

One of the best cab ride videos I’ve seen. The footage is superb which makes it a pleasure to watch and the graphics are very nice too.

Wonderful video for me , very well filmed, and a real trip down memory lane. There is still a great deal of old infrastructure out there, signage, plate layers huts, etc. Always makes me think of the human toil that went ino creating those tunnels, bridges, embankments, and cuttngs. 👍

I have worked on so many places in a follow up gang, tidying up the ballast after track renewals around this route back in the early seventies. Thank You for giving me a lot of memories back from 50 years ago.

58 years ago i used to cross that footbridge at 45:43 every day walking to and from school.... the only thing that's changed is the antivandal netting. Wonderful video and interesting routing.

Took me back 60 years to my boyhood in Tenterden. Left for Australia by train from Headcorn on a steam train. Loved the video. A brilliant tour of the Kentish countryside.

Great watch! Used to work at canterbury west, how things have changed along the line in the many years since I moved ‘up north’ fully enjoyed that! Will be watching again some point - to much to take in on one watch!

I’m pretty sure that the Chislehurst tunnel is actually Elmstead Woods tunnel when I worked on the Permanent Way.

Beautifully crisp and clear video.

Great video, I noticed an old style WHISTLE sign at 2:19:10 very surprised to see on still standing, when were they superseded by the W signs and as the driver didn't blow the horn, maybe it shouldn't be still up.
