I have a huge nose, which is fine, but it usually means my drawings from imagination either have very big noses or the smallest noses possible.

This is the first art vid I have seen in a while that has really inspired me to draw again. The way you just jumped into drawing from memory and giving yourself the freedom to make mistakes was really refreshing. The commentary made it that much better. Fabulous job!

Having visible sclera (the white part of the eye) above the iris is what ends up reading as crazy eyes. Most people's eyes won't show sclera above the iris unless they are specifically holding their eyes open wide, like in a surprised or manic expression. Hence, crazy eyes.

23:52 100% relate to what you said about the relationship between art/hand craft activities and mental wellness. I’ve adopted almost every hobby available involving my hands after 2020 woodcarving, sewing, crochet, painting murals, small format art pieces, ceramics and sometimes people give me too much credit and offer to pay for my pieces but it’s like selling someone my stress and it feels wrong but then sometimes I adore my sorrow and will sit in my depression and chuck out a lot of pieces and get sick of the tools that give me so much peace it happens and then I have an ‘I told you so’ moment with myself when I pick crafting back up after stressful days. So glad I’m not the only one😅 love your videos btw I just started watching your older posts and I’ll be here every upload from now on 🩷☺️

I'm not an illustrator (just a girl who likes putting colors on papers), but the luminance pencils are my absolute favorite. I pick out a couple new colors every time I go into Blick. It's a lot easier to pretend they're not crazy expensive when I'm only getting one of two 😅

Also, a full portrait page of monsters and cryptids (like your goblin/gremlin/ogre 😂) would be a real treat. To me. Because weird little guys make me happy.
