Isn't it funny how all these "anti-establishment" genres are propped up by the establishment?

If it suddenly dies within a year after of USAID's end, 99 times out of 100 the answer is yes.

Imagine being in Nickelback and finding out that the government conspired to make everyone hate you because you're normal.

Let's not forget that rap promotes greed while rock doesn't so to corporations it's more useful.

I remember rock being basically forced to fade out in the late 2000s, sports games and racing games suddenly stoped having more rock tracks in favor of more rap music.

It was 100% manufactured. An industry plant like they say.

Rap being DEI music would explain why Nolan was so insistent on shoehorning it into The Odyssey.

The telecommunications bill of 1994 under bill Clinton's presidency allowed the monopolization of radio stations giving us the horror of " iheart radio" where every song is virtually the same garbage.

I remember every town had a rock station, and all the sudden every town was all rap. It was very strange.

Plus, the award ceremonies were suddenly overwhelmed with black music.

the fact that the government is allowed to fund anything but basic necessities is insane

I choose to believe this, not because it may be true, but because it would be incredibly funny

Why would they believe Black people and their culture was forced on us in music? It's not like they do that with movies TV shows and commercials and every part of media, right??

As an American (taxpayer) I recommend we try cutting ALL American foreign funding across the board just to see which loathesome causes and characters suddenly seem to lose steam through lack of funding. What an eye opener that will be

As a black person, I’d like to think it’s because people finally realize that it’s garbage. Let me dream.

I had to listen to that crap when I worked at a bowling alley for half a year. The death of hip hop can’t come fast enough for me.

Look up the “rural purge” in American TV. This was an act that the broadcasters readily admit to; a deliberate removal of any “rural” themed programming regardless of how successful it was

Rap is dying because of Black fatigue.

USAID is not a charitable aid organization. USAID is/was a CIA fund to finance influence to the CIAs desired outcome

Rap "music" and modern art have always been frauds.

Let's not forget all of the copyright / sampling that the rap crowd seem to have had carte blanche with, allowed, encouraged, even seemingly paid to use all sorts of parts of music from decades previous. It's a lot easier to write a song if you are basing it off of something that's already been created (think vanilla ice, queen etc)

They have been handed everything on a plate since world war 2, and even now they are still blaming everyone else for the mess they have made with all that privilege.
