But, Is He Actually Any Good?

Justin Hawkins Rides Again

He's back! Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds have just released a new song yesterday called "Easy Now" and I think it may be the best thing I've heard from him in a while. The last song I covered didn't move me quite so much, but there's something about this that feels different. What do you think?

Noels voice is on point , people don’t credit him enough as a singer

I've always felt that Noel had loads of tunes like this in the bank, but wanted to experiment and explore a bit.

"Haters will say that isn't real."
Don't know why, but that made me chuckle. 😂👍

Personally I’ve enjoyed a lot of the experimentation, and I feel that Noel has earned the right to do it. It is nice to know that he still has this stuff in his wheelhouse though!

Since I was 17, Noel gallagher has soundtracked my life (46 now) So Whether it's to everyone's taste, I couldn't care less. His songs always move me. And every song he releases is always miles better than the shit we're delivered

There's praise from George Martin, and then criticism from an NME journalist - one carries a little less weight than another I'd argue

Awesome that you mention us in the beginning of your video👌

I've always preferred Noel's voice to Liam's. Don't Look Back In Anger and Half The World Away were standout Oasis songs, and the vocal gymnastics on The Importance Of Being Idle are just exquisite! Oasis needed Liam to break through because he's rock and roll personified, but Noel never got the credit he deserved for his singing. These last two singles really showcase what a brilliant singer songwriter he is. Can't wait for the album

Noel definitely deserves more credit for singing! He has an incredible voice

I loved Oasis but I do really love his Flying Birds too, awesome songwriter.

I really love the chorus. The melody is just so addictive, spectacularly good song from Noel

As Noel would say, "It's a tune." Really one of the better he's written since Oasis.

I’m calling these Noel’s audio hugs, it’s like the music wraps you in a big hug and goes everything’s nice and lovely and ok. Both this one and especially “trying to find a world that’s been and gone” which was my most played track last year.

Another excellent and entertaining drop from the J Hawk. Strong song from Noel as well.

Love the Scott Walker reference. Duchess is one of my favourite songs. Glad you appreciate Scott 4

Noel's never lost he's form in my opinion, the quality of he's solo work is biblical.

It’s great! First time hearing this.
Noel is a great songwriter. He’s getting better - very impressive.

Easy Now, Pretty Boy, Flying on the Ground, Black star dancing, Dead on the water, We’re on our way now…he still the best songwriter out there.
Since 1994.
