OMGGGG! What did you guys think of this movie?

"Not your fault? Who filled my head with dreams! Who forced me to train until my bones cracked! Who denied me my DESTINY!!" - Anakin the cat Skywalker

This is a good example of a "celebrity cast" where the actors actually fit their role really well. Like when Tigress is talking, I'm not thinking about Angelina Jolie, because that's just Tigress' voice.

Just to be clear oogway is canonicaly over a thousand years old at the time of this movie.

An important thing to note is that Po’s dad never intentionally hinders Po’s desire to become a kung fu legend, Po simply didn’t have the confidence to actively pursue it or make it known. For all Mr. Ping knew, his son was perfectly content to take up the family noodle business. After all, from what we’ve seen Po was very studious in that field

everyone says “he learned that much after one day” one day this one day that, during the montage you can see it turn night to day several times, that montage was over the course of a week

The reason Po didn't eat at the end of the training is because he eats when he's upset and he finally wasn't upset anymore

"YESTERDAY is History,
TOMORROW is a Mystery,
but today is a Gift..
That is why it is called THE PRESENT."

This movie taught my gen that quote lol

Both Tai Lung and Po were adopted. I never made that connection before and I have watched this move so many times. And both were trained by Shifu. <dramatic voice> Only one could become the Dragon Warrior! <normal voice> Great watching with you all.

Sorry to correct Suraj but it was actually Scarlett Johansson who was the snake in the live action jungle book movie

Oogway Ascends is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever composed.

"I'm not hungry."

That makes me tear up anytime. One day I'll be the one saying it...

"Shut up Dad!"

Suraj, I WILL NOT allow such disrespect for Mr. Ping, one of the best dads and side characters in all of animation.

Tai Lung is a Snow Leopard ❤❤❤

@TheArtSozosha 2 years ago

fun fact about the opening dream sequence, that was produced by James Baxter. those not in the know, he's a long time animator that's worked with Disney Movies, Dreamworks movies, and brought on as guest animator for a number of animated series (Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, etc.)

@PinkieUniverse 2 years ago

Oogway did not choose Tai Lung as the dragon Warrior because he knew Tai Lung wouldnt understand the real meaning of the scroll because he was so full of himself unlike Po.

@sandwichdoctor8652 2 years ago

Tai Lung is one of the best animated villains.

@auslandermercury972 2 years ago

You know, I’ve never made the connection that both Tai Lung and Po were both orphans until you guys pointed it out. That makes so much sense and ties their stories and fates even that much closer together. Wow. You’ve actually given me something more to love about this series. Thanks!

One thing I learned about Po is that he learns skills very quickly compared to other martial artists who trained for years. He's a prodigy and even mastered most chi attacks
