I grew up in the '80s watching Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan. Hands down the best era in basketball. Today's NBA is unwatchable.

Larry also knew that basketball is a team game.

This is when the NBA was entertaining not the boring game they call basketball today.

I am fortunate enough to have grown up watching this man's greatness. He was SO good that we took it for granted that it was just going to happen during every game. Larry was an absolute beast.

2 - Bird founding member of 50/40/90 club
3 - Birds rookie season was introduction of 3-point line in NBA

Larry Bird was a living cheat code. Man do I really miss watching Bird, Jordan, Magic, Drexler, etc. back in those days when the NBA was fun.

Kevin McHale tells a story about when he first started playing with Bird and you would suddenly just find the ball in your hands. He said Larry told them "If you get open, I will get the ball to you." Kevin said "Well, okay!"

My favorite is when he broke someone's ankles, he'd wait till they looked up so they could see him put it in. 👩‍🍳

People who weren't into basket ball still knew and heard about Larry Bird. He was one of those athletes.

I love watching the younger generation reacting to what we got to see live back in the 80's. Larry was so much fun to watch play, he was on a different level always a step above the rest. He was always the best player on the court! Larry Legend!
