The Drukhari Explained: How the Dark Eldar of Commorragh Survived the Birth of Slaanesh by Refusing to Change a Thing.
Welcome to Nevermore Forty Thousand. I'm Julien Moreau, and this time I'm taking you to the coldest place in the entire Warhammer 40,000 galaxy: the Dark City of Commorragh, hidden deep within the Webway.
When the birth of Slaanesh engulfed the Aeldari empire in a single night, almost an entire race perished. Almost. A handful of survivors, hidden in a fold of reality, watched their people die and picked up the party right where they left off. They are the Drukhari. This lore documentary explores a simple yet terrifying thesis: they are the only civilization to have survived its own apocalypse by absolutely refusing to learn a single lesson.
This hour-long exploration includes: the Night of the Fall as seen through the lens of the Web; the mechanics of Thirst and why the Drukhari's cruelty is a metabolic process, not mere sadism; the rise of Asdrubael Vect, the slave who became master of the Dark City; the Hemunculi who make death a paid service; the parasitic economy that steals even time itself; the society of universal betrayal that has stood for ten thousand years; and the day an escape route opened up for them. All of this is presented in the context of Ursula Le Guin, Philip K. Dick, and the Strugatsky brothers.
A reflection on immortality, denial, and the price of survival, through the lens of one of the most fascinating factions of the xenos.
