Love TOOL love you two  too :)

That’s the fun part      ❤
                        ❤

Adam Jones is a dark gift from the circle of Hell

One of my first favorite Tool song (there were many others after that). I love how Adam stays on the main riff chug (on D I guess) and we stay there for a while, and suddenly the floor and the ceiling go off as Justin and Maynard change the substaning harmonies. Just chills down my spine! Then, another Youtuber pointed out that it's another song for his mom, where he tells Jambi that he'd wish all his riches away so that she would stay with him. It changed how I heard it, charging it with emotion. I love this song!

I love the solo/interlude on this song so good

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah finally you're back with Tool !!!

There's so much to pick and nibble at, it can feel like an eclectic buffet of sounds, rather than sounds composed into a song.

Please Ixi , share with your mom and audience the listening of "Descending"...

Love granny's enthusiasm.

Devo H Keenan, his son, and how having him changed his life (that's a hint for another song as well)

You're both great. Adorbs❤

Love you guys..so much fun here. Love the reactions. Peace

Themes and Meaning

Personal Transformation: The song explores themes of nostalgia, desire, and transformation. The lyrics suggest a journey of self-discovery and the struggle to overcome personal challenges.

Spirituality and Enlightenment: The title “Jambi” may refer to a place in Indonesia, but it is often interpreted as a metaphorical reference to a state of consciousness or enlightenment. The song reflects the quest for a deeper understanding and connection with oneself and the universe.

Desire and Sacrifice: The lyrics also evoke the idea of sacrifice in the pursuit of desire. There is a sense of yearning for something beyond the material world, which can lead to both pain and growth.

Musical Complexity: Musically, “Jambi” features complex rhythms and time signatures, which complement the lyrical themes of complexity and depth. The song’s structure reflects the chaotic nature of the emotions expressed.

Overall, “Jambi” can be seen as a meditation on the complexity of the human experience, the search for meaning, and the transformative power of desire and introspection. As with most of Tool’s work, listeners are encouraged to draw their own interpretations based on personal experiences and intuitions.
