The whole point of this special is Randy, having written a book, spends the whole special promising to read the book to the audience, but every time he starts, he procrastinates by going off on a tangent. This story is one of those tangents.

BOOKS

Fun fact: At one show when he retold this story, when he revealed he made it all up someone in the crowd yelled, "OH, FUCK YOU!!" and without missing a beat Randy said, "Oh shit, Morgan's back!"

7:17 "I want you to know that he is a VTuber but in real life."

No no. Let her cook. She's on to something.

I still stand by the theory/joke that Randy says he made that story up... but just tells people that so the cops or "Morgan" don't come looking for him.

It's amazing how he can not only tell a riveting story, but also work the puppet in such an engaging way as he does it.

"Your vanity is sucking up my bandwidth!" Is poetry 😊

The full special is great because it gives WAY more context to the tangent, but I'm just so happy you saw this.

"I don't want your backstory Morgan!"

Oh, youre getting Morgan's backstory, Alicia!!

The bit at the beginning is a part of an ongoing gag throughout the comedy special. Basically Randy wrote a book and is trying to read it to the audience, but is too scared that they’ll think it’s shit. So he just starts going on these massive random tangents to avoid reading the book, this is one of those tangents

Edit: also, if you’re interested in more, I recommend watching the joke where he talks about the life of Ernest Hemmingway, its great.

Tbf the reason older people often abbreviate in texts is because back in the day before smartphones when everybody had those little nokia bricks, they literally charged texts BY THE LETTER. So we would abbreviate everything. That's where stuff like 'tbf', 'thx' and 'ty' came from. It wasn't about writing faster, it was about saving money. Nowadays text messages are largely folded into your phone plan, but back then they were f***ing expensive.

Mind you, Randy went to console a man in the middle of... whatever that was... after he had already gotten a BOOKSHELF DROPPED ON HIS FACE which subsequently cartwheeled over him through a wall... showering him in broken glass from a nearby fixture caught in the flightpath of tumbling furniture. He is a good guy... and the quintessential white guy in a horror flick wandering TOWARDS the danger. GET THE HELL OUTTA THERE!!!

25:00 the timing of Randy and Alicia sharing the same painful reaction of Morgan being cheated on is just, perfect. Rivals with Gabriel amd Alicia going “oooooooooohhhhhhhh”

This story is so fucking funny. Glad she’s finally reacting to it

As a woman, it makes me happy to see another woman speak out about men's mental health. So many women hate on men and try to hold them to "societal norms" when those same women feel they're above "societal norms" and don't want to be held to them themselves. I love a manly, traditional man, but even the tough guys need mental support.

"The time he didn't really do drugs"
As someone who saw that whole comedy special this is very amusing.
BOOKS TIME

35:00 “A shower of badly tied knots and broken dreams” is a divorce joke, by the way.

The 150 people thing is real by the way. Its called Dunbar's Number. It also doesnt mean the 150 or so physically around you. Its the 150 people that you really know. Referring to your chat as "Chat" as if they were a single person is an example of what Randy meant by identifying a group under a specific banner. Its really interesting when you really get to it.

Randy Feltface's bits are peak "subversion of expectations", it never gets old.
Even this special is him saying he's gonna read his book to the audience, but seemingly procrastonating to avoid it. Except he's also secretly throwing in summaries & tidbits of the book into these seemingly random tangents. Its really clever writting!

"He's a vtuber in person" mind blown
