This feels very spoiler free and I love that. So sick of trailers giving everything away. Bravo to the editor

This trailer is quite literally perfect. It isn't the tone I imagined, but it's the tone that is necessary. We've returned to the Hunger Games.

Haymitch had every right to become an alcoholic after everything he went through

The way the trailer hides louella just like the capital did in the book, beautifully done.

The non book readers are not ready for how dark this is about to get

They really nailed the casting of young Effie Trinket with Elle Fanning.

Did anyone notice the aspect ratio changed as soon as they ascended into the arena? They're redoing that scene in Catching Fire!!!

My three worst fears:
- A non book accurate sunrise on the reaping
- A book accurate sunrise on the reaping
- Sunrise on The Reaping

Francis Lawrence has directed 5 out of the 6 The Hunger Games films since Catching Fire. For someone who’s stayed with the franchise way longer than expected, it’s honestly impressive that he hasn’t lost his edge and still understands why The Hunger Games is so beloved.

Ralph Fiennes saying “May the odds be…” and stopping to smirk is genuinely cinema 😭

I really like that they're doing a distinct 60's and 70's aesthetic with the Capitol, with all the bright geometric colours and the chariots looking like old-fashioned cars - it really shows that there's been a direct progression in the timeline, up until the futurism of the 74th and 75th Hunger Games

The casting for this movie is INSANE! Not only do they all look like a younger version of the characters (most notable being heavensbee, haymitch, EFFIE?! WIRESS?! MAGS?!), but the actors and actresses are all so incredibly talented. Who ever the casting director is absolutely nailed it.
