Celeana loved Sam, Aelin loves Rowan. Dorian was just because she could, she never fell in love with him. She did like Chaol, but they were together for a week... a girl is allowed to have multiple boyfriends when she's 18 😂 and test them out😂😂😂
44:15 We first meet Lorcan at Mistward when there was that attack from the valg and the Cadre showed up to help. He was the grumpy one who didn't care about anyone.
45:44 And the reference to this woman was never actually mentioned in the book its something we find out about for the first time in this book.
And as a side note when it comes to Aelin falling in love the difference between all the guys she's loved is that Celena loved Sam but Aelin loves Rowan. The person she was when she was Celena fell for what Sam represented and when she accepts herself to be Aelin that version of herself falls in love with Rown. And the guys in between was her looking for stability and comfort after everything she went through. (In my opinion Chaol reminded her of Sam and that's why she fell for him)
If you go back and read the Chaol romance section again - from genuinely flirting/starting to date to sleeping together to it being over is like 8 days!! And that's it! 😂 True rollercoaster, crash and burn of young love right there. Honestly Chaol should be over it already which is why he makes me even more angry in this book.
I think Rowan and Aelin will grow on you. At least I hope so, they are my favorite ship in the books☺️ And btw girls are allowed to have multiple boyfriends in a couple of years you know😅 Especially with an eventful life like Aelin’s, to her 1 month probably feels like a year
Lorcan is half fae half human and part of the cadre and we ran into him in heir of fire. I feel like you guys flew over heir of fire and missed soooo much 🙈
and you haven’t even gotten to Lysandra’s secret yet OMG im sooo excited for you to read the battles cause they’re written so well. If it helps, imagine what it would be like when eventually some characters finally meet each other for the first time lol
guys, part one of this book ends on chapter 47, you should cover that on next episode!🥰 And I agree with the others, Aelin is allowed to have former lovers especially if one is dead, one never really was a relationship and one lasted for two weeks or so, Sarah especially said she wanted to show young love and that it is ok to test and experiment, plus Aelin isnt the same person in HoF as she is in AB or ToG, it is ok to change and need other things in a pertner 🙏 I shiped Rowan since his "Who did this to you"- moment, though, guilty for that 😂
26:17 so we have to remember that our main characters with the exception of Rowan are all in their early twenties or late teens still. When you're that age, especially as a girl, it really does feel like every person you're dating is your person that you will be with for the rest of your life. I think that sjm really captures this very well with aelin's journey
The timeline of the books is like 4 years, in Throne of Glass Celaena is 17 and 16 in The Assassin's Blade, she turned 18 in Heir of Fire and in Kingdom of Ash she mentions something like her 20th birthday is in a couple of weeks
I don’t think TOG being better than Acotar is a hot take at all. There’s so much depth and all the characters are so well written imo. I’m also on the beginning of Crescent City II right now and the first book was already so good but I’ll have to wait to finish it so I can actually rank it properly
AHHHHHHHH you guys missed a huge part of the pits. Aelin announces herself as Ansel who was mentioned in assassin's blade. She is the girl from the silent assassin's keep that betrays everybody.
