Like I said - avoid any pvt college or even govt college opened post 2021 - after NMC inception.
Horrible state of affairs - paper faculty - no OPD.
Both private and govt .

This is solid, unadulterated advice!
I chose to a semi government college (fee~ 7 lakh) in my home city last year over a peripheral GMC I was getting in some random village. Haven't regretted this decision even for a moment.

Just wanted to drop some advice regarding PATIENT LOAD. As a private medical college graduate (from the list Aditya sir has provided), you should focus on academics/ clinical teaching more than the raw patient numbers filling opd/wards. Even if a private college has slightly lesser patient load (say 70-80% of gmc) it won’t matter because as UGs you don’t understand much anyways unless there’s a pg/faculty teaching you on the patient itself. “The eyes can’t see what the mind doesn’t know.” Yes, in medical colleges learning is usually self reliant but for clinical postings/ eliciting signs/ running ddx you guys need teaching faculties which are absent in most gmc. Also, pt load is a good indicator but as UG you need to know the basic diseases well (tb, hiv, dm, htn) . A person seeing 100 cases of TB and you seeing 50 TB doesn’t make any difference.

TLDR- pt load should not be looked as a raw quantitative value but rather qualititative.

Dr. Aditya gupta sir is thr only med influencer that i follow and this video proves it.
I am not getting a gmc this year and since this was my drop year so we are opting for private medical College and this thing was really hard for me as i was thinking that i am not capable and private medical Colleges are not worth it and blah blah blah....
But this video really gave me a new perspective and has definitely helped me to clear my head and self doubt.

Completely agree with boss. Physical Diagnosis is probably the most important aspect of medical education. Mostly we get the theoretical from the platforms but pd in clinical settings is most important and deciceve.

NO. Unless you are really passionate about it. Buying a seat for crores.. is something only an idiot would do. You can double that money.. via passive income itself. Imagine working all day for getting 3-4 lakhs as a doctor. Now imagine getting 4 lakhs without doing anything.  You can just be a regular mbbs doctor for half time and still get 50k.

In Maharashtra terna and KJ somaiya are great semi -private college

As an MBBS student from a private college, I'll share my experience... Most govt colleges are nearly the same as private colleges as far as studies are concerned... The biggest difference is the patient load ... That changes everything, so if you have a chance, I'll say take up a government college

Father Muller Medical college, Mangalore is a very good college. Mangalore is also well connected by air, rail etc. But the seats are limited for non -Karnataka students and hence closing ranks end up very high. Most of the seats are reserved for Karnataka domicile students under govt.quota !

at first when i started seeing ur channel was bcz of ur fame that u carried like AIIMS all ranks including just sums up less than 30. but then i gradually inclined on seeking ur advices cuz they really made my tasks easier or ur words just remained as a uplift throughout.
