Radiology may be among the first medical specialties to experience significant disruption from AI-driven automation, particularly in routine diagnostic work. Thank you.

Chatgpt answer:
1. Automation of routine reporting: AI may automate normal scans, measurements and preliminary reports, reducing some radiologists' workload or staffing needs.
2. Increased competition: Fewer radiologists may be needed for certain high-volume reporting tasks, potentially increasing competition for jobs.
3. Pressure on salaries: Routine teleradiology and reporting jobs may face lower fees or slower salary growth.
4. Greater demand for specialists: Experts in MRI, complex imaging, oncology imaging and interventional radiology may remain in a stronger position.
5. Changing role of radiologists: Radiologists will increasingly need AI skills, clinical judgment and procedural expertise to remain competitive.

Ai will replace radio when the young radiologist will be at their peak of carrier😢😢😢😢😢
Let it be 20-30 years ...but It will surely affect... already many IT sector peoples are loosing job bcz of AI.

You are not really aware with the pace at which the accuracy and precision of ai models is increasing day by day ,
Mark these words
Diagnostic radiology will no longer require even a single intervention by any human entity by the year 2036 in Boston US .

Signing of investigation report (and not reviewing) will be the only job left in 99.99% of cases akin to what MD biochemistry people do .

The question of accountability is no more a question, if the data proves that the error rate an ai model has achieved is far lower compared to a human , it is simply going to replace it .
And models currently in beta testing have already achieved that threshold.

These models are not waiting for any more refinement, rather only for approval.
Which is due any day .

AI will replace Radiologist who dont use it. In short MD Rads isnt just enough.

Radio has no danger of ai in atleast next 30 years . This discussion is in town for past 10-15 years and its nothing and demand even increased

@AbhishekKumar-fp1zo 1 day ago

The safest option was ,is and will be is 1.Gen medicine,2.Gen Sx , 3.paediatrics (as far as good clinical branch is concerned)

It is very concerning that after doing so much of hardwork for ,let me say 10-11 years,if we have to doubt our proffesion bcz of looming DANGER of AI😢😢.
Is this is the reason why gov isn't increasing seats in Radiology, wherase gen med and sx and pedia ,even anaesthesia saw drastically increased in number of seats overall.
