AJ and Thor, you are a great partnership

Ask Thor Anything question for next week: There was a bit of hubbub a couple of weeks ago when Dallas Turner had two sacks and got a relatively low PFF grade. I saw an explanation that they look at the particulars of each play, and grade the player based on that. So, for example, a sack when unblocked is worth much less than a sack through a double team. It just hit me that if the players are all graded on what they get done based on the situation they are facing, there is an at least rudimentary way to start evaluating DCs. If one team's d players grade out at an average of 55, and another team's d players average 65, but the two teams have basically the same defensive output, that delta of 10 would suggest that the DC of the first team is superior to the DC of the second. Of course, there would have to be adjustments to make the grading viable (a highly rated edge has more effect than a highly rated ILB, the quality of the opposing offense, etc.), but this seems to at least be the skeleton of a DC (and OC, of course) grading system. What do you think?

Well if you live in/around South Dakota the Viking's Bye is Opening Pheasant Hunting weekend

If KOC cannot adapt his offense to his QB, then they need to stop bringing in QBs that aren't KOC minions.

There was a reason KOC didn’t call plays with the Rams…

Re: Vikings drafting a mid-20s QB next year as a KOC development project:

I note that Max Brosmer has been elevated off the Practice Squad to the 53 for the Aints game, and at 26 years of age is 3 years younger than Kyler, was a 5-year starter in college, including a really strong senior year with the Golden Gophers, and then gutted his way onto a UDFA spot on the Vikings roster. He's yet to play behind a healthy starting line, and KOC evidently loves his smarts and maturity, and obviously thinks he's got some upside to be an effective, if unspectacular, game manager, which is really all the Vikings need at that spot, a la Case Keenum or Nick Mullens. I'd rather see the Vikings spend the high- mid-round draft capital next year on big, draftable OL beeves, including a top 3 stud centaur.

The Eagles tanking with putting Nate Sudfield in for Hurts in the 4th quarter to "get a look at him" won the Eagles a super bowl.  It improved their draft pick from 9 to 6 ...they traded back with the dolphins for a first next yr and drafted Devonta Smith...the next yr they used that pick to acquire AJ Brown.  Thats why it's always in Howie we trust.  Having a life long contract as a GM allows you to be far sighted and out think all 31 teams.

Some how I get the feeling this game is gonna be Very Viking

Stop saying players are not a fit for the offense. Say KOC has no idea how to use the guy and doesn’t know what he’s doing.

KEEP Jenning, TRADE KOC!

For any hard-core Vikings fan, Thor's show and the Skol network are can't miss shows.

Thor and AJ, With our offense moving to the short passing game & running game now, why not do JJ a solid and trade him to a pass heavy team in need of a #1 WR and get max value for him now?  We are wasting his talent/value!

Another JJ whine show.  I'm out

So it was OBJ for JJ McCarthy a make up call

Kyler, Saquon & OBJ would be unstoppable 🏆🏆
