I came into this expecting beautiful vocals, but I found something much more tender and meaningful. Zhou Shen's shimmering voice and this touching story of perseverance came together to remind me that even through adversity, there can always be a way back home.

What moved you most here? Was it Zhou Shen's shimmering voice, the story of perseverance, or the journey of finding your way back home? I'd love to hear what touched you most. 🦋

I would absolutely follow up this song with Moon Halo.

Rubia is a flower and a Madder is a type of Rubia. The flower is being sung as a physical object and an emotional intangible object. The home isn’t a physical place instead it is the sense of a place of belonging, a sense of where you feel most at peace thus becoming the home within your heart. The characters in the video are deeply connected to one another not as lovers but as strong close friends. People who have suffered much who had to find their homes within themselves and each other.

Holy Honkai 3rd in the big 2026, if you continue I'd like to suggest Moon Halo.
It still is the "national anthem" of the players, witness years of character development for that very moment. It very emotional and yes I cried a lot

The animation in this part of the game tells the story of an immortal girl who has undergone countless reincarnations to protect the world from catastrophic disasters over more than 50,000 years. Throughout these experiences, she witnesses devastating losses, often witnessing the deaths of many others. Finally, before sealing herself away forever, she is possessed by a devastating catastrophe that harms those important to her. However, those loved ones pull her out of her grief and guide her forward, ultimately fighting alongside her through difficult challenges.

Oh Honkai Impact 3rd! One of my favorite game and story. About this chapter that this song took place in, I don't recall much of story but in summarize it's all about two girl.
Fuhua, the girl with red eyes, has suffered to her fellow's lost and betray for 50,000 years and Kiana, the girl with blue eyes, who has passionnated to save the world. Fuhua was betrayed and killed but before she's died, she activated her divine key called Fenghuang Down and put all of her memory in. Fenghuang Down became the form of Fuhua's memory that appeared everytime when her friend face with hardship while the real Fuhua is now gone. For Fuhua, she's just the form of memory and she's not even real Fuhua, Sacrifice is nothing but mission. But for Kiana, she's her friend, her class leader and the one who stop her from suiciding. She still see Fuhua inside of her and she won't let any of her friend sacrifice for the greater good again.

Another thing, this game is made by Hoyoverse, the same company of Genshin Impact. Now they currently have 4 games
- Honkai Impact 3rd
- Genshin Impact
- Honkai Starrail
- Zenless Zone Zero
And another new game but still in progress is Honkai Nexus Anima
All of it have a good music and worth to try!

I'm not native English so if there's anything wrong, please forgive me😔

❤

So, the story context
The main character's friend just sacrificed herself to protect the world, reflecting the main character's martyr complex up to this point, even repeating the main character's words back to her. This makes her realize how much her martyr complex has been hurting the people she cares about, and she resolves to stop accepting Pyrrhic victories, starting with saving this friend. The song plays as she attempts this rescue.

Zhou Shen😘😘😘😘😘😘

Hoyoverse: The music company that sometimes makes games...

Honkai Impact 3rd is a game full of Depression, Jokely named "Depression Impact" by the Community.
But even through Hardships, the main thing the game delivers through the Story is the simple word of "Love"
Everyone who plays it gets addicted to the Story, because at some point you fall in love with the story and "their" character of choice.
and you just wanna see the end of it.

If youre very very interested in the game, watch "Introducing the Honkaiverse" for Worldbuilding, or all of the Animation Shorts (where a lot of great and heartful songs are in)

I would listen to all of Honkai impact 3 songs. Moon halo, cyber angel, da capo, so many good songs. Outside of Honkai impact, there’s wuthering waves, few songs from genshin impact that all have good songs and vocals. As for other video game songs or instrumentals there’s undertale, expedition 33, persona series, nier automata, there’s just so many good songs between hype, sad, etc

This song hits like a truck, when I first listened to it my dad passed away a few months before, for reasons that weren't out of my reach I couldn't attend my dad's funeral, to this day, I don't even know where his remains are.

fun fact: remember genshin and their live symphonies? honkai impact 3rd is made by the same company (Hoyoverse) that made genshin! all these music are produced by their music studio Hoyo-mix

Wow, someone reacting to Hi3 songs in 2026 is a beautiful sight. This is my fav game ever, I've been playing it for over 8 years, it always helped me through every hardship in my life, I  grew up alongside Kiana (the main character), cried in every single chapter. I saw a lot of people recommending Moon Halo, and I agree, but I really think almost all songs in this game are worth a listen, they all represent different things. Nightglow (the desire of your loved one for you to keep going forward even after they are gone), Starfall (accepting your fate), Regression (the regret of a life driven by obsession), Da Capo (the end of the journey, this song finalizes Kiana's journey and it's by far the most emotional one to me). There are many more songs but I think those are the one you could like. It's a beautiful game with beautiful characters and beautiful music, it'd be amazing if you managed to react to some more songs. You've done an incredible job.

Great reaction! If you love Zhou Shen and also listen to his chinese songs, i'd like to recommend his Wandering No More for The Legend of Hei. It's a simple song yet has such touching lyrics, i felt so much emotions listening to it, especially when i have experienced the movie. Soothing and tender, a 10 for me!

Thanks so much for looking into the suggestion! One big difference between the music in Genshin and in Honkai Impact 3rd is that Genshin is more focused on instrumentals (of different regions) and the melodies themselves while in this game the songs are oftenly more modern and focused on the vocals (at least that's how i see it). There are a few versions of this song including this one, a live one or a pure instrumental orchestra performance with traditional chinese instruments. Anyways, after seeing other zhou shen reactions on the channel and as a fan of hoyoverse music i just had to suggest it and it's really nice to see it again!

HI3's music is really good, and also the song of xuanling is a great one too

I know nothing about the game！I just love the song and Zhou Shen❤❤what a beautiful voice ❤❤

if you did mind with sad themes because is most iconic song in Honkai Impact 3rd, you can check
Nightglow, the beginning ....
