Penelope is such a lovely host of this and I have no memory of it unfortunately.

Everytime I watch an episode on YouTube, it's got Garth Crooks and Jilly Cooper

The Thames Television version of this iconic American Gameshow is awesome because I remember watching it on Thames Television when I was a very little boy, though I was born in 1984.

Geez, the clapping!

The show's theme is entitled "Hello Cheeky" by Richard Myhill, who also composed the theme for ITV athletics around the same era

That certainly moved along a lot better than the 1957 episode posted yesterday on the WML? channel. I think that little bit of a mime at the beginning of the round added nothing to the program, (programme? since this was the UK version) except to confuse the panel.

I liked the questions asked of the subway driver, they would have gotten interesting results here in the US

I didn't know Penelope Keith presented this.

I’m intrigued as to what the mime represented off the lumberjack.

Not bad, the contestants were interesting, but the applause after every "Yes" gets really annoying!

I enjoyed the adverts too. We had those "Raisin Splits" in the states too, but they were called something different. :)

This is an interesting contrast from the classic 1950-67 John Daly version.

Was that Angela Thorne in the Chinese food advert?

Jeffrey Archer....oh, dear.
I'd entirely forgotten that there used to be an actual announcer on camera in those days. Peter Marshall used to do a good job of it.
