That Coventry away kit! 😍😍😍

All these years later still the best show.

Pub, out of town,Sunday dinner, big match, 40 winks, pub,  in that order  🇬🇧

Being from the east Midlands, Forest v Derby was the main match with shorter bits from the others.
Our programme was called Star Soccer, presented by Gary Newbon.  Who remembers?

Followed chelsea home n away since 74 and we never had a good keeper until Nedzwiki in 80s 💙

Used to love the Big Match on a sunday afternoon after me roast, i remember watching something called The Protectors with Robert Vaughan just before it and Weekend World before that.
Good times.❤

Olde Channel,
Thanks indeed for this exciting Big Match edition!

Thank-you

Archie Gemmell before he left for Forest and Peter Shilton from Stoke Made a big difference to that Forest team

There is nothing finer in football than a rousing rendition of "You're gonna get your fucking heads kicked in".

Sunday afternoon in te seventies  previous  days

It waa Ferguson who did the pushing not Hutchison who was born literally 10 steps from where i grew up in Cardenden.

Happy doggo 🐶

Many thanks! Nice interview with Ken Shellito.

Were there any viewers' letters?

Were live matches simply not televised back then?

Covt kit like the Welsh one

Hugh Hefner muscling into the bookmakers business lol

FOOTBALL BG ..BEFORE GREED...TODAY 2026 ..IT'S 34 PG ( POST GREED)

Ah the days of dogs getting on fitba pitches... those were the days!!!

Ken Shellito didn't come across well at all here in the interview with Brian Moore. Not very inspiring and lacking in confidence. I don't think he really wanted the job and it's not surprising he failed.
