This game was miserable, I never want to play it again, it's so bad, it made me dislike Pokemon Blue (not really, I can never dislike those games!)

this is what the vanilla game felt like when I played it at age 7

I feel like this rom wasn't intended to be played without items. I also feel like it wasn't intended to be played.

Your tours of the Blue Kaizo overworld are completely underappreciated. Most of the videos on this game focus only on the battles but I find it interesting how the creator used the Gen 1 mechanics and overworld to create puzzles and mazes. Thanks for the video

I like how the ESRB logo in the thumbnail says "N" for "No One" cause no one in their right mind would play this version lol.

Using a Repel in the Safari Zone is actually hilarious.

Was NOT expecting a Kaizo playthorugh. I remember 100%ing this years ago. Kind of refreshing to see a playthrough that's not a nuzlocke and just seeing the start of the game over and over.

It's like a month of Jrose without it actually being one officially

The three trucks are hiding Mewthree???

Its almost like the anime for real. The routes between towns take much longer, and every battle is a ball busting mess.

The real champion should be Bill, and his ace should be his own transformed self. They didn't do enough with that machine in the story.

Jrose really is THE Gen 1 guy huh

This looks dreadful to play but i'll admit that's a hell of a smart way to make Fly mandatory lol

It’s more fun to watch someone suffer playing a Kaizo instead of actually playing it for yourself.

You actually can get Mr. Mime outside Bill's house as a 1% encounter.

This was made before people knew the distinction between tedium and difficulty.

Tried this back in the day.
Lt Surge was legit my breaking point. I realized I wasn't having fun and I quit the Kaizo run.

My hats off to you Jrose.

You're correct in that Chansey was changed to be bulkier. Other Pokemon were changed as well (i.e. Kangaskhan has better special to make it more comparable to Tauros)
