I Thought This Randomizer Would Be Easy... | FF7 Randomizer Episode 1

Genesis VII

I've finally jumped into the FF7 Randomizer, and honestly... I thought this was going to be a lot easier.

We're starting a brand new Final Fantasy VII playthrough where pretty much anything can happen, and I'm going in completely blind. Expect some very questionable battles, some unexpected encounters and plenty of CHAOS along the way.

Crazy start to the rando!

Only things you forgot was the kid's stash in sector 7, and to check what you have for sell value. Curious to see if you remember to sell in the next ep :D

YouTube actually recommending a quality vid 😄
Finished the Steam edition of FF7 myself recently, and been playing Rebirth in the meantime until Revelations comes out.
A fun thing that I would suggest is installing the "PHS Anywhere" mod and depending on what item you get from a boss fight or random encounter, you have to swap a party member out who uses that weapon (obviously if they are available) i.e. you got "Wind Slash" from PROD CLOD 😆 (rip Heavens Cloud 😢) when you unlock Yuffie, you put her in the party etc, just to spice up the playthrough
Subbed and can't wait for the next episodes 💯

I loved playing this randomizer. It worked well with the shinra archeology cut. I played Tsunamods voice acting mod first, then I turned it off, did randomizer and shinra arc cut. I loved the excitement of finding new stuff on the shops. One thing I discovered that I did find detrimental was the steal, mug, and steal as well materias. It seemed like every enemy had a random steal, but it was random when the game was started. After that, all the xx wolf enemy would drop that same steal. BUT, if I didn't use the steal, my end of battle drops were always random. I learned from 4-8 productions you can't get a steal from a mob AND obtain loot from the end of the battle. Just something to keep in mind.

So glad this showed up in my feed!

FWIW, I think when you die and have to do repeat fights, a progression like this:
- first death: same as you did here
- less than 5 deaths: jump to the end of the first fights, OR the first choice you make different than the last time
- more than that: jump between the different drops, then back to the fight that killed you last time

Honestly I think if you follow your gut it’ll end up feeling right. Every choice you’re making (not save scumming, not grinding for specific items - rip Heaven’s Cloud) all have me excited to watch.

Still here. I juat found your channel and I could watch hours of this

The algorithm works! FF7 OG head and I like randomizers.

A few things I like:
Just roll with it
Run to live another day
The fluff is fine
If you get KOTRT delete it 😅
Hour seems right, but longer works if the naritive deems needed.

I look forward to this, you have my sub.

Genisis VII goes to a shop in Sector 6.
Sees Neo Bahamut. Sees Sense. Sees Kujata. Sees Exit.
Says, "Ooh, Sense. Sense could be a good investment."

Sorry, just had to laugh at that.
